Earlier today I watched a full 100% play through and it was under 7 hours. Plus there's actually 3 levels for each costume (The 2 main ones and one in the basement of the theatre that is focused on saving the original actor for the play).
So? It's just a fun little game to be played and enjoyed, and it seems to have quite a bit of replayability

It's the sort of game I'd borrow from a friend, or buy super cheap, but I won't be paying for it outright, as it's not something I absolutely must play. Much like the DS 'Super Princess Peach' I played it when I had the opportunity, but I didn't buy it.

Definitely need to play this as I’ve been wanting a new Peach game for like over a decade. I don’t really need a game to be challenging to have fun, in fact in some cases that factor can actually make a game more fun and not as frustrating. Graphics wise… i don’t really expect much from Nintendo tbh so if it runs well and doesn’t lag like you’re playing overwatch in a cellar then fine by me! Overall it looks super cute and fun and a must-play for all Peach fans 💝💖

Having two young kids and being a gamer myself I can say it’s not easy. Even if you argue it’s easy it’s definitely not easy to 100% every level, so that is how you set the challenge. Also, the hand gliding challenge mode is tough to get gold. Lastly, detective peach was one of our favorites.
I think most people putting out these reviews don’t have young kids and get what a great game this is.
When I played the demo I experienced a few frame drops and loading times were a bit slow, but it was still pretty good. I’m probably not gonna pick up day 1 though

I just played the demo yesterday!
The demo left me disappointed, and hearing that it doesn't really evolve past what the demo offers, I think I'll be skipping this game. Its a shame, the game certainly has a lot of charm, but that doesn't make up for the boring gameplay, and the really short length doesn't help justify the $60 price tag.
Short and sweet it seems, I was wondering if this game would be worth getting or not.
Hopefully I will get this game tomorrow but man everything is happening tomorrow like dragons dogma 2 and the rise of the ronin as well

I genuinely haven’t been interested in this game because from what I’ve seen it looks insanely boring. I really want to like this game but from what I’ve seen it’s just not interesting or unique (gameplay wise). It feels like a bunch of mini games mashed up into a game (from my perspective).
I really loved Super Princess Peach because it was a fun short 2d platformer with some interesting levels)
I’ll have to check this game out first before really forming my final opinions. I’m definitely not getting it on launch day and I’m probably gonna wait for it to go on sale tbh. Hopefully this turns out better than I’d expected. 🙏
There is a demo. It's a fun game. It reminds me a yoshi game. Easy and just fun to play. But def not for everyone.

I like this game, except for some performance issues at times. I think the game is fun, and it’s nice to just play something easy every once in a while!

3:51 5 to 6 hours says nothing about how long the game is , for example Super Mario Odyssey ws beaten in under 1 hour but it has so much content
that's an apples and oranges comparison. you can speed run odyssey in 1 hour or you could speed run Breath of The Wild in 20 minutes. But the average play through of those games is going to take most people roughly 13 and 50 hours respectively. What's being said here is most people are beating this game in 5-8 hours on an average playthrough. Either way the length of time it takes to beat a game is not the only intrinsic metric on how much you're going to enjoy a game. It's just another factor people consider when choosing which games to play.

Gameplay and variety of this game is fun. It’s for all ages.

I thought this game looked like fun from its initial reveal and I'm glad that the reviews are validating those first impressions. I pre-ordered it digitally upon completing the demo. I'd rather have a game that's a breezy, fun 8-10 hours like this than a ball-busting, frustrating game like the From Software stuff any day.
Yeah but the game is too easy it's just boring when it's mindlessly boring your brain doesn't even need to be on to play it.
At least in from software games it's rewarding to accomplish something but it won't be in princess peach.

Considering the theme is theater i can see why its linear but at least you can move around instead of it being just a linear side scroller experience tbh.

I am actually VERY EXCITED about this game, despite some folks saying that the game is "too easy", because it's like: Who cares?

I hate the creative direction they went for with this game. Why could Peach not get her own Mario Odyssey style game, aimed not at little "girls", but instead at a broader family-friendly audience? This just feels alienating--this was their chance to make Peach stand out as a character in her own right, something that hasn't really been done properly in a long time, and their decision for that is to make a really basic "baby's first video game".
And I know that technically the game's not about "playing dress up" as it's framed under the concept of stage costumes, but even so... come on, its clearly about playing dress up, and the second stage in the demo involves you making cakes & desserts. Why does it need to be this gender-specific?
Look, I get that it's Princess Peach, it's going to be a bit "girl power, queen!" in its presentation. But with the focus on little kids, especially, it feels like they took that too far, and just made the most safe, generic, game for little girls they could. Sorry, but just absolutely not fan of what they've done here. This feels very much like someone said "make the most safe & obvious Princess Peach game you could think of", someone came up with this whole game, then someone else went "isn't playing princess doll dress up up a bit too girly?"--so they threw in a stage play gimmick over the whole thing, and did little else.
How is it to girly? we have ninja peach kun fu peach hero peach detective peach cowboy peach its a fun short easy game but i wouldnt call it to girly

2. For some people yes, $60 for something that most people would beat in 5-8 hours does seem like a bad deal.
3. A lot of people want a challenge to overcome in a game.

Definitely going to pass on this one. As a longtime Nintendo fan, I don't want to support the mistake Nintendo is making by creating mind-numbingly easy games without the option for increased difficulty that's at least on par with their older games. Nintendo games aren't supposed to be for children only, they're supposed to be enjoyable for all ages.
How much fun a 8 year old would have playing a game they can’t comprehend as it gets to difficult for them to play not every game needs to be painfully hard

@@pomosstream3202 don't ask me, I grew up on Super Mario Sunshine and loved how difficult it got at times. It made it that much more satisfying when I beat the levels.

The difficulty of Princess peach Showtime is aimed at kids, but I refuse to go with the notion that it is for kids, also about the frame rate I haven’t noticed any issues but then I’m not a frame rate aficionado although I did notice that the load times were pretty long. I think maybe they should’ve at least used Nintendo proprietary engine which never seems to have issues on switch because unreal engine is not really designed with the switch in mind to begin with and people saying it’s another reason for Nintendo to release new hardware is getting old in this point yes the hardware is old but it’s still very capable hardware.

The game is good, not close to be perfect, but it's a fun time. For being a first try in this approach (i know it's her over-all second game), it's not bad but it has lots of potential, the roof is insanely high. It sure needed more time to cook. Personally, what it most needed, was diffculty settings and better controller schemes.
It's a bad game for being 7 hours long and 59 bucks, bad as in, not worth. Worth 39 dls, and i think i'm still paying kinda a little bit too much. I'm getting it, but as i just said, it's not worth the full price, i rather get it at a sale or second-hand
People dont like the detective peach stage because people are impatient and they have to think, something people dont like to do.
"People have to think". Dude, it's a detective stage from a kids game. The reason people don't like it is probably because, for anyone who ain't a kid, there's absolutely nothing going on & its insanely easy, which for slow-paced investigation gameplay is pretty much a death kneel to enjoyibility. Detective Pickachu had the exact same problem. It's why no one really liked that game (despite it being a fairly good "baby's first detective game"). That kinda gameplay can be fine, but it needs to be age appropriate. throwing a kiddy version into a game like this just seems like a dumb move if they gave a thought at all to it being accessible to broader age ranges.
@@alanira2971 a game being easy has nothing to do with how fun it is. You also have to consider how shallow today's gamers are. You can't go from shooting shoots bang bang and hack n slash to hmmm I wonder what goes here. That requires thinking. Sony and Microsoft don't have games where you think, you're just mindlessly running around.

In fact, the easier it is, the less fun it is. As someone who loves slow-paced, story-heavy video games (including crime games), Detective Pickachu is dull as mud & I gave up halfway through because it bored me to tears. I imagine the problems with that game apply to the Detective Peach stages in this game.
