On one side I really like "Super Switch", but on the other side I'd be scared they'd have another Wii U problem where people don't get that it's a new generation.
I dont personally think it will be another Wii U problem because they did the same naming scheme with the NES and SNES and doing it with the switch seems like a good and simple way to differentiate the generations

I kept hearing people saying that Nintendo was talking Paper Mario: TTYD off of Amazon, but I got mines today through Amazon UK, so I guess it's only in America.
Also yeah, this is basically confirmation that the Switch 2 is going to do some 4K Upscaling techiniques as well as being backwards compatible with Switch games

Nintendo said the successor to the Switch WILL NOT be in the nintendo direct in june, and wont be shown till later this year. According to Nintendo's Twitter

tbh if switch 2 is backwards compatible....there ABSOLUTLEY IS NO REASON to repackage and sell it on the switch 2...slight resolution upgrade or not....they are just milking botw and money hungry....
But nintendo done super mario bros deluxe, and for the gba they released a port of the original super mario bros game, and the gba is backwards compatible with gbc and dmg games.
I'm fairly certain the system will be 100% backward compatible. It will allow them to keep the current switch games at full price into the life of the next gen console. Newer titles will have 4k resolutions possible and they may patch some others for that capability too. I wouldn't be surprised if they try a new strategy of charging for 4k upgrades of games. For just a small fee of $9.99 you can upgrade your game to 4K.
For Mario kart 8 deluxe on switch 2 Mabye mulitplayer could run at 60fps
What I’m curious about is if this bit of code reflects native 4k output or code for DLSS 4k upscaling. Absolutely everything I’ve heard and read has suggested that 4k would only be feasible with DLSS, so what this code is pointing at would be very informative.
No, there are other upscaling techniques, and some very lightweight games (like emulated or ported N64 games) could very well run 4K natively. The idea that the only way to get 4K is via DLSS is absurd. It's very much a game developer decision and will be dependent on the game being made.
I just thought that maybe this has this code because before the internal delay, this was going to be a big launch title. Just a thought

The code doesn't say anything about Switch 2 and also you can't get any of them codes on the Switch. Them codes is on a PC where the game isn't on PC

I just found a possible leak that the Switch successor might be called the "Switch Attach." There are 2 possibilities for this name. The early patent pictures we saw several months ago with 2 screens attachable and detachable plus the magnetic joy-cons we keep hearing about. This name might make sense.

I always assumed it would be called the "Super Switch". This way they can capitalize on the success of the Switch, without the confusion of a Wii U scenario. It's also a throwback to the "Super Nintendo", which was also a successful system and name, and "Super Switch" lends to the nostalgia of their "older" customers.

There’s a lot more you can do to make a game look and play better than simply giving it 4K output-or even 4K 60p. Paper Mario and other games may be getting improved resolution and frame rates on the Switch 2, but it’s likely that the BOTW upgrade will be much more substantial than that. It could be 4K 60p with the improved lighting from TOTK and all the DLC and maybe even quality of life features.

Well the 2 part of switch 2 is exactly why there were 2 consoles of the Super Game Boy in the earlier years possibly the 4th to 6th generations.
Can't wait to own a Super Switch. I hope Nintendo release a limited edition model for Zelda fans early in its life cycle.
What they *should* do is allow the games to run at a higher resolution, like every other game that exists (at least on PC). If this requires additional code because they didn’t bake it in originally, they should be willing to release a small update to make this happen. 60FPS might be harder to add to some games depending on if the FPS is tied to the physics of the game, but I think it’s such a simple feature they should be willing to update the game for 60FPS, too.
Knowing Nintendo, the middle ground could be you get a discount on the “new” version if you already own the old version, perhaps using the serial # of the old game. Or they release as a DLC (same concept).
Worst case scenario they do nothing. No updates at all. Best we can hope for in BOTW is more stable 30FPS. Then in like 10 years on the next console they will finally “remaster” it. They are not stupid enough to re-release it at full price, yet.

No they're not making more content for the current Animal Crossing, that ship has sailed. It's far, far more likely they are developing the next Animal Crossing game.
I don't trust that BotW remake rumor at all. Aonuma himself said, that they will never return to that Hyrule again after Tears of the Kingdom and only focus on new projects. Which is why we also don't get any DLC for Tears. So why would there suddenly be a remake of BotW, Aonuma's team must have worked on if true, even though he literally said they were done? Makes no sense.
