Project Recipe:
Flatten the bottom of your project to give it stability with a 50 grit metal fiber sanding disk.
Smooth and round out any sharp areas to get ready for the epoxy.
Mix SCC Quick Coat, mix in the thickening powder and tint with SCC Ocean Blue metallic powder.
Use your hands to push and fill the tinted quick coat into all the cracks and crevices in your project.
After approx. 3 hours come back and sand off the excess quick coat with your 50 grit metal fiber sanding disk.
Sand the entire project smooth with an orbital sander starting at 60 grit and working your way up to 220 grit.
Mix the Quick Coat with out any thickening powder or metallic colors, use this to apply your first seal coat making sure to rub the epoxy all over your project using your gloved hands.
Lightly torch to remove any air bubbles.
After your first seal coat use your burn in stick to fill in any stubborn pin holes before continuing.
Sand with 220 grit sand paper and wipe off your sanding dust in between each coat of epoxy.
Repeat to achieve 3 total seal coats.
Have fun with it! - Jak na to + styl

Killer Mike! Thanks for another great project, it was cool to see the use of the quick coat and addative. I have the addative for wall art but wasn't confident in ratio and mixing. I got this!

I live in Arizona not much driftwood here, but I am inspired to try this on Saguaro ribs or Cholla wood. Just got to get everything together. :)
Ginger Ferguson go up to the Rim Lakes. Like Woods Canyon, Knoll, and Chevelon. Walk the shoreline (as much as you can. It is pretty rough) and near the spill ways at the damns. Plenty of driftwood there. It’s mostly Ponderosa Pine.
I'm getting ready to do a whole stump. Going to be interesting! This video is full of valuable info. Thank you Sir!
BEAUTIFUL!!! I think a simple tea candle holder done like this would be gorgeous with the light coming from the candles shining on the blue.
That would be beautiful Adopted Child! Are you working on any projects?
Stone Coat Countertops I've never tried anything like that but my plan is to try and make one for my sister's wedding gift. What you make is soooo beautiful. Ilove it
Wow, wow, wow!!!!! Best tutorial for drift wood so far!!! Thank you.
Only in my dreams... But i have searched a lot.
Only common dry wood, exposed to sun and rain. I live far from sea.
Another amazing project from you guys. I try a bright green in one next time. Being a guy that has only worked on cars his whole life, seeing this makes me wanna try doing this too.

Awesome Peter! What metallic color will you choose for your driftwood piece?
Oh gosh!!! This was amazing. I think small colored stones in the cracks would be pretty!!
Excellent work to go along with your imagination. Thanks for the video!!!
i think on the sides up front some canary yellow would be amazing with that blue, i always enjoy your work
Those colors would be great together! Thanks for your support Anthony bot! What other types of 3-D objects would you like to see us create?
I just seen this and I'm really impressed with it I have a beautiful piece of driftwood at home that I would really love to do this to I really want to get my hands on some of your product so I can try this myself
You have taken epoxy work to the next level Mike.
This is a really cool project!!!!! I think I would like to try lightly torching the wood after the color coat has been sanded off to darken it up just a little bit. The color coat would be gold with a bit of your diamond dust. The end result would be slightly darkened wood, maybe a walnut or slightly darker color, with gold trying to explode out of it.
Mike, love the videos man! I’ve got an idea along these lines, using old, worn shovel and rake handles. Like the driftwood reminds you of the coast, it would be a great way to remember a loved one by preserving their tools.
Intenté hacer algunas paresido a lo que hizo usted pero me salió mal mi trabajo
Looks really cool. Great stuff. Love that blue.
beautiful piece. love the way this is done. have to try this myself.
Yes give it a try Ernest Sloan, its a ton of fun and use as many metallic powders as youd like for awesome effects!
We would love to see what you create!
Oh I wanna try this soooo bad!!! Beautiful work!
Do it do it l am.
I make projects with drift wood, I am going to have to check out your products so I can strengthen up some of the more degraded and flimsy pieces
I would have liked to see this with a vibrant green instead of blue. Looks amazing though!
I see a shark, too. Very nice. Looks fantastic. I think maybe a bronze or some gold would look amazing in the crevices with a contrasting color. I may try it on a piece of drift wood that I have been holding on to for a long time. Thanks Mike!
Love your products, and video tutorials. Your energy and narration is awesome 💯👌
