    Detail, detail and more detail. Someone once said the devil is in the detail but the original saying God is in the detail and being near Yorkshire what else can one say. Brilliant work Gary please do not retire yet…….

    Your plans seem most excellent Gary! I think I'm going to enjoy the next few videos as you use the 'face cream' water and 'chocolate sauce' mud! LOL! Once again I love how you're taking inspiration from real world scenes! I need to get out more with my camera and do something similar as I really like this approach, especially as photography is another passion of mine! All the best, Ian.

      Hi Ian, I had forgotten about the face cream and chocolate spread 😆😆😆 yes I love taking inspiration from my visits to the S&C and the surrounding area! The scenery is my favourite part of the hobby and the model railway running is the bonus for me of seeing the trains running through what I have created 😊 Cheers Gary

      Hi Andy, Yes really looking forward to doing this, I just hope I get my stream as good as yours! I do like the viaduct rock faces I am going to think twice about putting quite so many trees as I have planned in front of it. Yes quite a few entries thanks with a few days to go. • @theangelsmodellingandrailways

    Nice one Gary, look forward to seeing you work your magic on the scenics, smart move making Hill removable, you could make another completely different scene for that area and replace it when the fancy takes you, two or more, in one. :) All the best. Brian @The Angels.

      @SC68  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Brian, Thanks for leaving your kind comment and what a great idea a mulitude of selectable of various hill tops!! Removeable a sthe only was I can clean the track as no access from side or rear (unless pull the whole layout out which is not easy). Cheers Gary

      @@SC68 I know space is a premium, but removable buildings etc could make it doable. A small private airfield, a lake/reservoir or summit like that, more chance to show of your skills. All the best.

      @@theangelsmodellingandrailways Your spot on Brian, It does give lots of possibilities for the future and as the tunnel at the other end of the layout is also is removeable as well 😉 Cheers Gary

    Hi Gary, watching your recent CZcams videos I have decided to change the planned scenics for my ‘N’ layout where I have already completed all the track work. Originally, my back-scene would have hidden a six track fiddle yard. Now I intend to have the back-scene at the back edge of the baseboard. One question, if I may, what is the distance from the track centre of your back most track to the face of the back-scene. I ask because I think I might need to add a narrow strip to the back of the base-board. Many thanks and great videos. Jeff

    • @SC68
      @SC68  Před 2 lety

      Hi Jeff, Thanks for watching the videos and leaving feedback and I will do my best to answer your question. Do you mean the actual main line track or the siding closest to the signal box at the back? Once I know which dimension it is that you require I can go measure it and let you know. Cheers Gary

    • @jeffbrewer9515
      @jeffbrewer9515 Před 2 lety

      Hi Gary, thank you for getting back. Yes, from the siding to the back. I liked the idea of the small signal box so might try to include one too to add further interest. Jeff

      @@jeffbrewer9515 Hi Jeff, the dimension from the centre line of the closest siding is only 3"/75mm to the backscene. Hope this helps? Cheers Gary

      @jeffbrewer9515 Před 2 lety

      @@SC68 Hi Gary, that is really helpful - I will definitely need to add a narrow strip to the back of the baseboard to give space for some scenics between the track and the background board - maybe a bank with shrubs/trees similar to what you have done. Thanks again. Jeff
