My first Lamborghini i ever bought was my Lamborghini Gallardo which was such a monumental moment for me! After i bought it i truly made it my own by installing twin turbos and other modifications making it just over 1000bhp but all of that came crashing down the other night when leaving my unit after working on it.

I broke my neck in a Lamborghini crash (LP640 Murci) - The driver lost control and hit at tree... I nearly died/paralysed but surgery saved my life. I am so grateful to be here. I am pleased that you are ok Mat. Stay safe bro these cars are awesome but damn they can let go fast and do a lot of damage. Cars can be repaired - people can't. All the best.

As a car guy who's 57 today, I can guarantee you would've looked back in 10 maybe 15 years and said "I wish I would've fixed that car"......so I say good choice Mat!...btw. 1000hp, slicks and rain...not many people can pull it off...glad your ok!

The hardest part to watch was Hannah crying. She must have gone through all the emotions of the possibility of losing you. Cars are just machines, regardless of memories, and can be rebuilt (with even more memories now).

When I was about 21 I crashed my Mk3 Escort into a merc. The merc broke a headlight and my Escort died. As they pulled her off my parent’s drive to take away for scrap I cried.
Loved that car. When I sold my Golf GTi because my new baby daughter wouldn’t really fit easily into a car seat in its silly 3 door interior I cried. We get silly attached to these cars because they’re a little bit of us; an expression of our personality. And those two cars were normal cars. Yours is something else. Gutted for you but looking forward to more great videos of you putting her back together.
Sent my black e90 off to scrap after 5 years and 50k miles, watching it leave ona truck was heart wrenching, still miss that whip even tho I drive a F31 now ❤

@@jannagy well mat had already called to say he's crashed but fine. she knew she wasn't pulling up to a corpse, but for obvious reasons was still emotional. Easy for us to not impulse record everything, but recording things has been their life for a while now, so not surprising they felt it natural to document part the process.

I was thinking this and seriously with no one injured who better then Mat as he is one of the few who can probably make a few bucks, have a LOT of fun and entertain the heck out of us AND he did not have to go out and find his next project. When you think of the time saved right there it was worth it! Now me, I would have totally jumped on the insurance!

An apprentice I worked with wrote his Audi S3 off and took out about 5 pavement railings and a couple of kerb stones - bill from the council for that was about £8K if I recall.
Two lamp posts and a BT telephone/broadband pole? OUCH!
Honesty Mat, Hannah loves you so much and you are so lucky that you found someone like her, the scene where she starts to cry as she was pulling up to the accident almost got me to break down crying, because it shows how much shock she was in. However, given the circumstances, she did know that he was at least "ok" enough to talk to her. If he was dead or badly injured I doubt she would have made the video. In this case, she wanted to get video for Mat. In the end, it was for him. She was thinking of him, even when making the video.

Man.. could be worse! I know you love the car and it has huge sentimental value but walking away from that without so much as a scratch (apart from the bushes biting back!) is a miracle! Could have been a number of things that caused it… so much gets spilled on the road and a combination of that and a little too much gas, 1000bhp plus semi slicks with a wet road. You are very lucky with that one mate. And of course… there’s no way you would have given that car to the insurance company. I’m sure it will be back better than before to take pride of place in the new garage!

And for those who say how easily things can be avoided… get in the real world. Accidents happen that’s why we have the word accident and insurance and hindsight is a lovely thing, but for those of us who do actually live in the real world it’s a stark reminder of how easily life can change in a heartbeat.

I span an exige years back on worn semi slicks (Yoko) in December. With the engine behind you if it so much as slips a tiny bit, it will snap off oversteer. Really feel for you guys and so glad you're ok.

I hydroplaned and took the front end off my STO last year. Not a fun time. Can't ever expect it or anticipate it, suddenly you're just sideways. Glad you're alright. Rebuild and continue onward. Seeing Hannah's reaction to the crash scene got me emotional, she really cares about you.

Exactly the same happened on my 718 GTS. Just cruising at 120km/h and all of a sudden sideways and hitting the barrier. No way to anticipate it or "catch it".

Omg I hope your doing okay this really hit me different “no pun intended” I was recently in a car accident on the 101 freeway up north in California. I was 20ft into a ditch with my friends and that call to my mom was insane I was so thankful I was alive and only the car was ruined but I’m glad your okay fam be safe and much love 🫡
