There are three models in the Sea-Doo fishing range, starting with the FISHPRO Scout, then the FISHPRO Sport and the Trophy being the flagship top of the line from Sea-Doo.
Reviewing the clothing, Explorer Pro Windshield and safety equipment I use for deep water fishing on the Sea-Doo FISHPRO Trophy
Andrew Hill, Sea-Doo Global Brand Ambassador discusses what he finds most useful for his Jet-ski fishing adventures.
The Sea-Doo Trophy ST3 hull is powered by the 1630cc 170 horsepower naturally aspirated, closed loop cooling Rotax engine and has the Explorer Pro windshield installed.

Finally the instruction video I've been looking for. Thanks Andrew for sharing your rigging techniques but more importantly general advice on operating off the Fish Pro platform successfully, huge help.
I’m happy hear you found it useful, the FISH PROs are so full of features, it was long overdue to cover it its attributes. Much appreciated your feedback
Fantastic back half to that video bro ... not that there was anything wrong with the first half !...but I was hoping you one day did a tutorial on knots etc. Amazingly easy to follow....though I was pensive when you hooked up that lure, looked damn close to gaffing yourself !! Going to go practice the knots now. Great channel ! If you're watching, take a moment to like and subscribe, it's very apparent to see how much time and effort Andrew puts into this. It doesn't take much for us to help him out along the way.
Pleased you enjoyed both the walk arounds Simon. Those sharp hooks have caught me out in the past 😂
Keep persisting with the knots on land and you will have them mastered in quick time!
The videos do take a bit of time to prepare but it’s worthwhile for me giving back to the sport so others can enjoy the fishing the way I do 👍
Thanks again for taking time to comment!
Great stuff Andrew thanks
Cheers Joe, it was a dream day for it, water was glass!
Great video. Thanks for pulling it together. Completely agree on the addition on windshield. Makes riding so much more pleasant. Any reason that you don’t use the FG knot?
The windshield sure is a winner, many FISHPRO owners will enjoy the benefits of it. The combination of the doubled braid/spider hitch and Uni Knot haven’t let me down so I continue to use it… I know the FG has a solid reputation but in rough seas it’s a bit more of a challenge so I have avoided it 🤢
Agreed, it is not the easiest to tie. Given everything I have seen you catch on your setup, I will give it a try. Thanks
@@paulb9265 doubling up the braid is key, it helps equal the thickness line before matching the leader 👍
Hey Andrew, thanks for the great run-through on your gear. Could you please tell me what the model number is of the rod you paired with your new 23 Saltiga? Cheers Kyle
@@kyleavery4302 nice to catch up with you at the Field Days
The Daiwa Rod I matched with my Saltiga 4000-H is the Daiwa Commander 21 TD 7102HFS-NZ, 2.39metre,10-45gram, 6-10kg
@jetskifishing You too, always great to see you. Thanks for the quick reply mate, would be really good to take up to doubtless on the next trip.
@@kyleavery4302 it a great rod with a good recovery rate on the rod arc, plenty of strength! Doubtless Bay social trip is filling nicely 👍
Do you sell the heavy duty rod holders?
Here is the newer generation of the Heavy Duty Rod holder, I only have a few left in stock jetskifishing.co.nz/products/ultimate-seadoo-heavyduty-rodholder-rack
Thank you Andrew!
Can you do a video on how you install this rod holder?
@@WestwayFirewood1313 it’s seriously easy to install, you just remove the Wake Pole cap/cover
There are three screws beneath the cover and once removed you reuse them to attach the stainless Heavy Duty Rod holder…
No drilling required👍
