    Run ALL YOUR LINES FIRST FROM DIESEL FRAME..AFTER EVERYTHING IS IN THE FRAME LAST LOWER ENGINE INTO PLACE...It will save you a lot of time and misery with engine/Trans not in way

    Great work! And let me give you some advice at 3:55,. as a decades long mechanic myself I use head lamps when working,. It will give you a free hand. I can't work without my adjustable headlamp, definitely my favorite work accessory !! lol : )

    There's a lot going on there, It's going' to take a little bitta work. And with that let's git it done. A wrecked truck and burnt truck are joined together to become a good truck. Lookin' good. All it took was a little bitta work but it's all good!

    Make sure you check the torsion bars , they could be a different weight rating. Easy to change now!

    You might want to check on the part numbers on the torsion bars. The diesel might take a different set because of the diesels weight. I think I would have changed out the front running gear before engine set in . Also switching the wiring and tubing lines to the gas frame.

    I always use seat belts... they are far less likely to damage something than a chain when so much used on vehicles is plastic.

    The brake and fuel lines more likely will be different lengths. Considering ones a long bed and the other is a short bed.

    You'll need to use the diesel rear end, different gearing. What is the gearing on the gasser front diff?

      I know that. Bent and crashed axels are bad. And burnt car axels wont match. And also all of the axels need complete rebuild.

    The diesel fram has 4 cross members in the middle the extra one is for the DEF tank. Im sure Mike will figure it out . SCRUBS say NIKO BROS OTAY|

    So when you have finished will you be registering the car as the black one or the burnt white one (since I’m reality it is the black engine and interior in the white body and chassis). Which VIN/FIN will you use?

    Swap the rears first that way you can roll it around and you have the engine in there

    is the same gear ratio in the differentials??
    ther is usually a diffence between petrol and diesel engine

    Wow Guys this is a huge project! Since it's a long bed there will be rear wiring harness issues, exhaust, brake & fuel line issues and rear drive line issues so parts to find or fix. But man you Guys are getting to the better part of the rebuild. As always I am looking forward to the next video!

    At this point the black truck is a parts truck for the white 1. You are going to use the long box frame right? You need the axles out of the black truck

    here in Australia the Australian design rule states that the seat be able to take weight of the vehicle which in most cases is approx 2.5 ton

    Get rid of the DEF system. Nobody is going to know that you did it. Just don't put it on video, or just gut the inside of the DEF system. That way it will look like it is there. Great job sir.

    great series, very ambitious. are you concerned about the suspension differences between the diesel and gas versions? stuff like spring rates, sway bar thickness and also axle ratios?

    That driveshaft won’t work will it? Different length frames means different wheelbase.

    CRAZY!! A day on the frame rack and the diesel frame could have been straightened- no need to spend days to swap all those components from 1 frame to another.

      @@pupbiking Yeah and they have to swap everything= fuel system , brake lines, wiring, both differentials- plus there are gonna be differences in the frames- brackets, clips etc.

    couldn't tell that the frame was bent or could it not be straightened? And the cab also, I thought if you were buying a new roof couldn't you used it on the black cab or were the pillars too badly damaged. Just thought it would have saved a ton of work if the frame or the cab could have been fixed
