It’s a great reminder. I say to myself out loud before I head into church, a verse ‘be soberminded with self control’ just to keep that in the forefront of my mind.
You encourage me. You speak truth, wonderful truth. You bring scripture to my rememberance. You refine me. I know its all the Holy Spirit flowing through you. I am encouraged and corrected. Thankyou. This is life and peace in this dark world. Please dont stop. The body of Christ need you.

Pastor John, what’s the best way we can know His desires vs our own? Some are pure and we do have the liberty to do all things, but not all things are beneficial. I struggle with this a lot and find myself stuck because I want to make sure I am following Him always.
Start by following the church he established, One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
They have Jesus and all the tools to keep Him at the center of your life!

As for me, when faced with a choice, i pray about the options and i listen to the Holy Spirit; i then choose the option that fills me with His Peace and Joy🙏🏻 blessings😇
John, I have a serious question for you...does self control also mean that I MUST put these cigarettes down and NEVER pick them up again to Glorify God? I have an absolute addiction to them, but I DON'T want them anymore cuz number one, I know the Lord doesn't like it and number two, my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I don't want to grieve Him. I REALLY NEED prayer to stop, cuz also, I fear that if I die and I'm still smokin, that I will go to hell for that alone.😭
Hi brother. I read your comment and felt the Lord calling me to respond. This verse really spoke to me:
5“I have led you forty years in the wilderness; your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandal has not worn out on your foot. 6“You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or strong drink, in order that you might know that I am the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 29:5-6
Go out into the wilderness with only water and the Bible and see what Jesus does in your life.
