- Detroit: Become Human is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. The game will be released worldwide on 25 May 2018. The plot revolves around three androids: Kara, who escapes the factory she was made in to explore her newfound sentience; Connor, whose job it is to hunt down deviant androids; and Markus, who devotes himself to releasing the androids from servitude. They may survive or perish depending on dialogue choices that shape the story as customised by the player.
Detroit: Become Human is derived from Quantic Dream's 2012 tech demo Kara. Valorie Curry returns to reprise the title role. To research the setting, the developers visited Detroit, Michigan. Quantic Dream built a new engine to complement the game and cast hundreds of actors from Los Angeles, London and Paris before commencing the process of shooting and animation. The 2,000-page script took director David Cage more than two years to write. Philip Sheppard, Nima Fakhrara, and John Paesano composed the score for Kara, Connor, and Markus, respectively.

@@SarosLuminosaSol I think the idea (at least for me) is that she's trying to be the rational and the focused one in a room where everyone is in a fit of panic so she's suppressing her emotion in order to take command and de-escalate the amount of worry everyone has.
Now there was probably much better way of direction that they could've given to Rose's actor in order to better portray that (show her shocked when she comes in but after a small breather becomes serious again) but I digress.

You have to really know what your doing if you want Luther to survive. Make just about one mistake and Luther is dead.

I went through hell and back trying to keep Luther alive and after brushing against death 4+ times he gets killed TWO MINUTES before the end of the game. I'll never live that down, R.I.P. its easier to kill him instead of alice or kara dying because of the story and the way its structured. i do have to agree it is kinda unfair. he really is an underdeveloped character, i wouldve love to see more of his character and personality. i can understand though the main story itself is already 10 hours long lol

Because the natural thing is to also get rid of the blue blood once you have no need for it unless, of course, you _do_ still have need for it and you lied before.
Obviously, saying you just haven't gotten rid of it yet is a valid explanation, but the officer is wise to ask it to hear you attempt to explain it. When you're looking for "fugitives", it's not your job to explain why the person in front of you _isn't_ hiding the fugitives. Let the "suspect" answer the question on their own and pay attention to nervous ticks.

After doing my playthrough with Kara having black hair, it feels unnatural to see her with a different color.

Except it’s not really a “game”. It’s more of a “choose your own adventure” movie. The reason they were able to make the graphical quality so high is because the game has very very little actual gameplay. The only times you actually control a character is literally just walking around small environments and then pressing buttons.

Why doesn't this policeman ask Kara to identify herself? That's, like, literally the first thing a policeman would do when questioning someone. Suspect, victim or witness, doesn't matter, the first thing you do is ask is their first and last names, and to show you some ID, if they have it on them. But no law enforcement officer in the game seems to do this in the various scenes where they are looking for androids, when it would be one of the first giveaways - an android wouldn't have human ID documents and may even have trouble providing a last name, if they get caught off-guard.

What i don't get is, why in seven hells does no one later in the game want you to give a blood sample? Like the 2 cops you have to get by so that you can catch the bus... Instead of asking questions, just whip out a needle and ask for a blood sample

It seems that a basic knowledge of property rights would be something a household android would be programmed with. Kara, being a model designed to take care of the home, would reasonably be expected to know how to say "I'm sorry, but my owner isn't home, so unless you have a warrant, I'm going to have to ask you to return later."
That said, it's possible that police might not require warrants by 2038, or that there may be a "probable cause" issue since the cop seems to be responding to a report of androids which are, by this point in the story, starting an uprising.

There's two scenes I've been trying to find. Detonating the dirty bomb at the end of game and when you free the androids from the market and destroying the public area instead of of the peaceful mess/graffiti.

The shot from the gun damaged Luther’s bio component (basically his heart) from there if he does not get a new heart within 90 sec he will die. Not sure why he died so quickly but hey, I didn’t make the game. 😀

@@OoXLR8oO Luther is (2030) but Markus is almost definitely the oldest model we see in the game ("Classified", probably made before CL had a permit)--but he is an RK like Connor. RK seems geared towards analysis and law enforcement. Both can preconstruct actions, and mimic voices for some reason. Luther... Luther was made for lifting heavy stuff, not withstanding bullets. He's strong, but fragile--a glass cannon. It may be that he could soak lots of bashing damage, but piercing damage like bullets or knives might really rip up his insides. This is borne out by other parts of the game where Luther is shot and doesn't make it.

@@cole9693 I think the gameplay is fine. It's just the illusion of choice that makes it unenjoyable. Most choices don't really affect anything, like choosing to save Kenny or Jane. It didn't matter since they both died in the long run and it just came down to who you liked more. Most of their games would work better as a linear narrative because they aren't bad, just poorly executed in some parts
