Its unusual how this car went into a museum before it entered production

Electronic ones just suck. When will car manufacturers realize that literally nobody cares about hiding door handles. I mean look at Rolls Royce and Bugatti. Some of the most prestigious car manufacturers and they just slap on a regular ass handle that's gonna work every. single. time. I've already seen Model S handles that don't pop out anymore so I can't imagine this will age well either.

Their numbers are on heavily prepared surfaces with rollout and optimal wind draft conditions. Even under all these ideal circumstances their plaid claims haven’t really been replicated.

1.1 0-60 sounds crazy💀
tbh the 620 miles of range alone i feel could be kinda exaggerated unless the method of storing much more electric power in their batteries is available or in then near future once this car is released, as right now I'm seeing ranges of 300/350miles or less, haven't really seen any electric cars break the 400 mile range barrier let alone 600, though i think the Model S Plaid breaks the 400 miles barrier correct me if I'm wrong, but again i don't have a car myself so..
4680 cells are what makes the difference but they aren’t in the cars yet
The Lucid Air was tested on the highway and did a bit over 500 mile range, so in the future it could be possible.
I thought they debunked the 0-60 times even within the different types of Tesla Models
I mean the model S plaid can do 2.1 seconds in the right conditions, plenty of videos of it already. Don’t get me wrong I hate Tesla but they are definitely quick.
First of all this isn’t out yet so no one can debunk it. And the model s actually did hit 2.1, which I mean isn’t 1.99 but still amazing and quick. And like all cars in history they market it as perfect conditions, like on a drag strip, with the best wheels, perfect weather etc..

250+ I mean thats def into hypercar territory, 1.9 seconds, one of the quickest accel. cars today, 620 mile range is unbelievable for a hypercar, let alone any electric car, and is pretty decent for even gas cars. I would say those stats are really good.
You say it’s fast but in forza horizon 4 my dune buggy can go 0-60 in 0.977 seconds lol
It's no longer a want...I need this car!
You treat that getting a 0-100 time by strapping a freaking rocket to the back is impressive. You should see a top fuel dragster. And before you go “bUt ThAt’S nOt RoAd LeGaL,” neither is strapping two rockets to the back of an electric car.
They’re not rockets. They’re thrusters. I love normal cars as much as the next guy, but they’re two different things.
@@dinkoblazek9637 Nope! They are because it’s just compressed air coming out of the back of the car. No explosions or anything of the sort
Saying this car will change supercars forever is quite a statement. I mean, supercars are what they are for a reason: they’re fun to drive and they’re fast. The Tesla meets one of those criteria, which is fast. It puts up some scary numbers, but it doesn’t have the emotion, character or charisma of a Lamborghini V12, or a Dodge Viper V10. So sure this car might change supercars forever, but will that be for the better? I mean, there’s other solutions that can please both environmentalists and car enthusiasts alike (it can b used in both a hydrogen fuel cell and an internal combustion engine, and while the ICE is much less efficient, it’s still has character)
Oof
It will change supercars forever, but "for the better" is subjective. In terms of CO2 emissions, yes, it would be for the better. I still 100% agree with what you said though.
My company will be mounting alternators to the back of this the same as the others.
It’s unusual how Elon send one of those to space 💀
This is stupid, it’s amazing how we haven’t gotten a 2017 car yet. The engineers at tesla don’t seem to do much
Maybe cuz even in 2017 they said it’ll be in production in 2021. And maybe because there was a global pandemic.
@@Bowman001 they said nothing about it being made in 2021 during 2017. Also the pandemic fully started in March of 2020. So don’t use the pandemic as a excuse. Ford announced the Mach e in November 2019 and people could buy it in December 2020. So don’t try and hide the fact Tesla can’t do anything they say they can.
@@rau4329 so your not going to talk about the rimac nevera which was unveiled in 2019 and is basically in production now
@@NICKCAMP04 .. That is the only car Rimac is producing, and they have had prototypes of it for years now. Plus, Tesla says the Roadster is 'dessert', and the Cybertruck is on higher priority. Also, Pandemic, and I believe there is a bit of a national part shortage or smth.

Hmm I doubt the rockets are fully electric
They are trusters
It’s compressed air, so kinda electric
They’re thrusters. It’s compressed air in a take so still green
6 years later....
For the 1.1 second confusion, these COPV style thrusters and tanks are used in actual rockets, and need to be excessively powerful to help move and position them. The back two seats of the car will be switched out for the tank I believe, and the amount of gas (not gasoline gas) will sadly not be that much, probably one acceleration before you need to refill it. But with the amount of power, it does not need any traction or anything, it is totally possible. Also yes, it will most likely be not street legal.

Still like the rimac more tho

Yeah,that 0-60 of 1.9...from a roll😅
Exactly, no one reads the fine print
@@Tiddey696 Guess you don’t understand what 0-60 means if the cars already cruising along at 10mph it would be 10-60 not 0-60 so obviously you must struggle to read as well
@@grime2.085 it says on the tesla website with 3ft of roll out (i think its around 3ft) basically eliminating all wheelspin factors into the 0 to 60 calculation, so even tho it is only from about 2mph, its still a roll
There’s an asterisk on Tesla’s website beside 1.9second 0-60 time where it says that’s not actually happening. Tesla cheats and doesn’t count the first few feet of the rollout on 0-60 times too lmao
That’s for the plaid, and that’s not cheating, everyone in the drag racing business uses rollout
@@Shanboss277 not everyone. Still cheating.
@@Shanboss277 yeah but it’s still misleading to the customer. It’s even more unbelievable how they don’t put an asterisk where most customers would see the stats most; you literally have to click the feature details in order to see that the 1.99 second claim should be taken with a grain of salt, which they purposely did since barely anyone checks that page…
@@Shanboss277 nobody uses rollouts in dragracing. Source: me. Been dragracing 5 years.

Plot twist: the car actually launched into space.

It’ll be better once I put a kitted out v12 in it
Warning: if you dont like people's opinions, Do NOT read my take on the car. I dont want 8 year olds crying to me because I hurt their feelings. No hate towards the creator of the video or Elon musk himself, just my opinion being spoken.
Ok so there are some problems already. First off (the video), the title of the video has the caption "0-60: 1.1" this in fact was not the case as in the actual video you have it saying "0-60 1.9 seconds" this gives a false sense of information to the viewer.
Secondly: we have the car itself, due to the fact that this car is still not on the market, all of these numbers can be completely off or have variations from it. Its like saying "I bought this new car that does 0-60 in 6 seconds, but i timed it taking 8 seconds." There is that change in numbers which may change the mind of anyone.
Number three: we run into the problem of the batteries, any wonder what happens to car batteries after they are used or damaged and need to be thrown out? Answer: no. You can't throw car batteries into the garbage as the materials inside them have been used up and are extremely dangerous to dispose and rid of from our earth, so having an electric car that uses batteries as big as the car polluting our earth does not sound like an environmentally friendly solution to the petrol/gasoline problem.
Moreover, i respect the video on the information and respect elon musk as a businessman, but to those that want a solution to the problem our world faces with Co2 emissions, you are better off sticking to your gasoline.
Finally. Someone with actual brains
You will save more emissions by driving a used gas car over buying a new EV.
@@aasimmukhtar7752 depends on what car you ride. If you drive a Mercedes with a 6.2 V8, the gass price will be too much, but if you drive a 1.2 Honda, then it definitely will
See, I drive my honda accord and over the past year I have calculated that through my entire car's life, I will have done at least 10% of the environmental damage as a Tesla.
There's also the issues with depreciation and the used car market, where are this cars gonna be 15 years from now after their 4th owner. On my car (I have a 15 year old Ford), if it breaks down, I have a chance to make it run again, and servicing isn't that expensive, also if somehow I am without fuel, I can run to the nearest gas station and get a couple liters back to my car so I can start it, that'd impossible with an ev. Also the building of those batteries pollutes as much as 4 to 5 years of running an average petrol car. But yeah all your points are perfectly fair and I respect Elon as a business man, but Tesla is overrated, and there is much higher quality built on other cars on same budget
When Elon saw Nevera specs he was like imma stuck rockets behind and call it a day
