For years i've felt like Ozzy was a case study for failing upwards in life, Black Sabbath got DIO which eventually got us Rainbow Rising band and the Last in Line band some of the greatest music ever recorded. and Ozzy married a record execs daughter who burned through musicians for 30 years hazing them off the tour and then blackballing them from a career when they no longer suited the Osbournes purpose and then parlaying that brand into a reality TV show. R&RHF has long been a joke since inception and this move fits their pattern of historical revision, erasure, and censorship, perfectly. Ozzy is a drug addled corporate controlled marionette and a bad friend and that will always be a real drag on the amazing music he and so many forgotten people gave us.

For many years now, when someone asks me who my favorite band is, I always say The Blizzard of Ozz, never Ozzy Osbourne. That would imply I am a fan of all Ozzy & his later solo albums, and that definitely is not true. Bark at the Moon has a place in my heart, The Ultimate Sin less so. After that there were some good songs with Zakk but the persona and musical direction that Zakk morphed into is such a turnoff to me that I never listen to his Ozzy-era albums. Never. On a side note, it is strange to me that people think the two Jake albums are better than the two Randy albums. Anyhow, Ozzy owes his long solo career (which as Daisley points out, did not start out as a solo career) to the Blizzard of Ozz band, particularly Randy Rhoads, whose instantly classic guitar riffs and histrionics gave Ozzy the lift he needed, a lift so great that it sustained him for the next 40+ years. And yet Sharon (if you believe that Ozzy was not involved) had the truly evil impulse to rerecord those first two Blizzard albums to spite Daisley and Kerslake out of their royalties. If Ozzy deserves an award, it is for surviving so many years with Sharon. Bob, if you read this, thanks for the lyrics, they were "symbolic, of course."

Now,. how intricate were those melodies as not defined by the guitar...he also threw out ideas.
Ozzy alleges, that he and Randy wrote a lot of the first album that he would hum ideas and Randy would write underneath it.
Now if you listen to Tommy Aldridge, Ozzy was so on drugs if he hummed an idea and you asked him to repeat it seconds later he could not replicate it.

Ozzy may not have been a lyricist but he definitely has an instantly recognisable voice. He wrote great original vocal melodies. Randy was also phenomenal. But please stop the Bob Daisley is a genius rubbish. The only thing he is famous for is what he’s done with Ozzy. If he was such an outstanding writer all the other Ozzy albums should’ve been huge also but they weren’t. I like him. I like his bass playing but give me a break. He even tried to take credit for his suggestions on what songs to play on Gary Moores albums.
    Shut up and retire quietly

Ozzy has an iconic voice, but make no mistake about it, you watch any live video or hear the bootlegs with Blizzard of ozz, people were coming to hear great musicians execute like Randy ....
Bob Daisley is a genius, he and Randy formed a genius songwriting tandem and who carried Ozzy through the next 4 albums after Randy died, Bob mentored Jake and Zakk,
Bob has played with so many great musicians, especially guitarists is that a fluke. Who is the guy who told Gary moore to do a Blues album...Bob.
Who helped write the best 80s Sabbath album that did not have Dio on it? Bob Daisley.
No ignorant music fan, he is only well known to you for Ozzy. Some of Uriah Heep's best stuff has the blizzard of ozz rhythm section.
Amazing coincidence Rainbow's best album arguably has....Bob Daisley on it.
Bob is arguably the most underappreciated rock musician of all time
Stop being an insecure hack and respect the all time greats like Bob

@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle Dave if you stopped at the second last paragraph I’d have no problem.
Let me start by saying I’m a massive Randy Rhoads fan as are you. I’m also a fan of Bobs playing too.
But because someone doesn’t share your exact opinion means I’m a hack? Silly you.
Bob played with many great guitarists for one reason. He’s a great bass player. But the reality is Bob is most famous for two things. His association with Randy and Ozzy and his constant whinging about not being acknowledged enough for his work with them. Nothing he did before or since has come close. Which should speak volumes. Many guitarists he has worked with have all said he’s a great bass player. Not one of them has ever called him a genius. Only he does. He has tickets on himself. And you ! Poor little soul. You’re like a little woke university student. If we don’t share your exact opinion you get your knickers in a knot and start hurling insults. I clear sign of ignorance. Grow up

@@johneee2402 you should have no problem either way as I only promoted reality.
Suggesting Bob was not integral or is not a genius on some level is absolutely a hack-ish comment. There is no one who is part of Rhoads nation or a Blizzard of ozz truther who should not put Daisley on a pedastal next to Randy.
He is most famous.....it does not mean he is not known for other things. Every artist is going to be known for one thing above all else. Randy is known for his time with Blizzard of ozz yet he was founder of Quiet Riot...
If you got ripped off, called names. had your music re-recorded to avoid being paid. where would you be? I would be ripping the Osbournes every chance I got. under no condition should the Osbournes had the bass and drums re-recorded to spite Bob. Bob got screwed over bigtime they cheated him, Look at their act starting with Diary , not even originally crediting Bob and Lee. Wouldn't you be pissed. Bob is fighting to keep his name in the conversation because the Osbournes want him erased from history . They are the ones in the wrong here not Bob
Bob has done a lot of great music since and prior to Blizzard of ozz albums? The Uriah Heep albums with him are awesome, the Gary Moore Stuff is fantastic. Randy was a fan of Bob's band Widowmaker even .
Because the Blizzard of ozz albums are among the greatest of all time does not mean what he did outside of that is any less impressive.
You should be more supportive of Bob and ripping the Osbournes

John Michael Osbourne does not belong in the rock n roll. But Nazareth featuring Dan McCafferty belongs in
