    My friend Rick from HIK Micro needed to test a new unit, and i needed to hunt and gather, do we met up in an Ancient Royal Hunting Forest for 3 days chasing deer!

    Oh my!! This would be a dream for me. I’m just another American that lives in the country. I love to hunt every opportunity I get. But to have the opportunity to go into that area, wear the proper clothing and attire, and tote my Old American made rifle with some of the finest gentlemen, hunters in the world. You are such a lucky and blessed young man. Keep the videos coming. I love to live through your eyes.

    As someone who has never hunted or stalked deer before, this has been a fascinating watch. The respect that you show towards the animals throughout is brilliant. It's clearly something that you are very passionate about.
    I think there's a lot of misinformation and myths online about hunting, field sports and shooting in general. Films like this help to dispel some of this misinformation and hopefully give people an opportunity to view shooting sports with a new, more open-minded perspective.
    Cheers, and have a good Christmas

    What an interesting video and a productive one too.
    I would love a set if those HIKMICRO HABROK Bino's
    I'd find them very useful.
    Like you said, travel light and I do when I can.
    Apart from my Tikka's (T3X Aspire in 243Win and a T1X in 22Lr),
    I don't go anywhere without a thermal spotter & range finder.
    Good video guys............THANX.

    Living in the East Midlands, I would say there are very few people who haven't seen a Muntjac around here, they are shot on an industrial scale, and still keep coming back. When I was making the daily 5 mile journey to work and back, it would be an exception to not see several whilst driving.

    • @dean9235
      @dean9235 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Shame on you people in the East Midlands. It's the people that are the problem, not the deer!

    • @fredbloggs72
      @fredbloggs72 Před 6 měsíci

      @@dean9235 There are few things you seem unaware of, Muntjac and CWD are not native of the UK, they where introduced and subsequently went wild, they are a serious agriculteral pest causing wide spread damage to the flora, they are becoming a problem on the road with many dying in road accidents, AFAIK all deer shot enter the food chain. Even the wildlife charity I occasionally volunteer for has to take measures against them.

    • @dean9235

      @@dean9235 No excuses, they are the facts. Funny that you think you know how much time I spend working for wildlife, as it happens I don't do any shooting for them, I do however usually work for them four weeks fulltime per year, then we have the work I do on our families farm where we try and be as wildlife friendly as possible whilst still controlling pests so that they don't get out of hand. Looking at your avatur, you might be interested that we happily host foxes.

    I REALLY enjoyed this. I liked the deer information a lot, and learning about the forest too.
    I know you having to get rid of guns lately, and will have to rebuild. So...Recommendation:
    The new Dark Series by Marlin in .30-30 win would be the perfect gun for this kind of hunting if you're going to be in the market again soon. An Anodized aluminum handguard with M-lok, threaded barrel, nylon stock with M-Lok, fiber optic and ghost ring sight, and Picatinny rail for scope.
    Merry Christmas.

    Really enjoyed this- what caliber? Also, are lever- action rifles legal in the UK? If so are they used much? I saw this and thought it would be awesome to hunt these with a Savage Model 99 in 22 Hi-Power. (5.6×52mmR) Thanks and keep up the great work you’re putting out.

      @fredbloggs72 Před 6 měsíci +2

      Lever Actions are legal in UK, but I don't know anyone who uses them for deer.
      For Muntjac and CWD, the regs are minimum of .22 inches and muzzle energy of not less than 1000 foot pounds and a bullet weight of no less than 50 grains.
