A California sheriff's (Warren Kemmerling) son (Ron Howard) and his girlfriend (Christopher Norris) go for a joy ride in a stolen stock car. Directed by Charles Griffith.
This is a classic Roger Corman semi-'shoe string' budget action film. A fun romp with a very young Ron Howard around the time American Graffiti was filmed. Thanks for posting. -Liked & subscribed !
my older brother was on leave from the Marine Corp, when this movie came out. He took my younger brother and I to see this movie at the drive in, we laughed the whole time.
David Grisman did the music. He was so embarrassed by the movie he entitled the main tune EMD because he didn't want to let people know the name of the movie.
Always preferred Ron Howard being in front of the camera. He was a good actor, but the lure of directing became too strong, although he did become one of Hollywood's top directors. The following year he both starred & directed another chase movie 'Grand Theft Auto', his directional debut. Would have done directing full time much sooner but playing Ritchie Cunningham from 'Happy Days' proved too good an opportunity to miss.
This is one of the first car chase movies and one of the best. Opie Cunninghams first starring role. Just shows how far a guy will go for a girl in hotpants. Thanks Terry." Take off you Hoser eh".
It's fun 👍, but I think _Vanishing Point_ '71, _Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry_ '74, _Gone in 60 Seconds_ '74, and _Return to Macon County_ '75 were a little better. Just my opinion.
@@TerryProps So your up by Lonsdale, of semiahmoo mall. I haven't been to north van in 30 years, used to go roller skating there, probably gone now. Stardust
R.I.P Roger Corman
Thank for sharing this great movie Eat my dust.
I can remember my dad taking me to the drive in theatre to see this movie .
It has survived the test of time, it was good.

Dingy-dang-hang and shuckey-darn, the whole gol-durn movie was a car chase, but gollleee! It shore wuz fun!
I just want to see the part where Dave Madden says "shit on a twisty stick".
Juat watched clint Howard play a murderer in the ice cream man.
That’s Odie from the Andy Griffith show ❗🏎👍
I get the impression that this movie inspired the Dukes of Hazzard series some years later on
