That thin slice comment reminded me of my friend's grandfather when I was a kid. His grandfather was a quiet grumpy man, smoked cigarettes and played cards. Emotionless 99% of the time, so I always wondered what he got from cards. Win or loss, no reaction. He also used to drive with his chin in front of the steering wheel. Literally, he would sit so close that the steering wheel was right at his chest. Anyway, I went with him one time to pick up food and the deli guy was cutting stuff really thin and he just mumbled "That ham is so thin it only has one side". I started laughing hard at that, I was probably 12 years old. He just gave me a blank look and didn't say another word to me until after we got back to the house.

It’s gonna be like a proper barber shop where they dress up in white coats. It’s realistically a rip off, but there’s a lot of people who pay for it. I met a guy at a barber school where I’d get cuts for $5 and followed him to one of those shops. Paid 65 for a cut and shave once and wished him well, no way I’m doing that cost again but wanted to kinda give him the honorary post grad cut at least.
