Dude u r by far the best mechanic on here. The way u explain things r dead on. Ur not too fast or too slow. No wasted time or annoying intro. Nice and calm. Thank u . I had no idea about using meter and testing with dc for tps sensor. And ur paperclip to allegator clip truck is so neat I use it on everything with tight spots. Thank u so much. Keep slinging the wrench

I already watched this once when replacing the TPS on my 95 Nissan maxima the first time. But I'm replacing it again. I thought the transmission was going out, it was slipping so bad. Some one told me to test the TPS because the idle was surging up and it was bad, replaced it and no more transmission problems. Thanks again as always for the videos!!

great vid. I do have a question. We have a 2003 Nissan Frontier where we replaced the TPS, but now it wants shift funny between first and second. Revs up before shipping from 1 to 2. Like 3000 rpm then shifts. I read a lot where it says the TPS needs to relearn the transmission, but every relearning pattern I've tried doesn't work. It still shifts funning from 1 to 2. Then I got a code for TPS low voltage. Does this mean that it's just not adjusted right? anyways I'll take any help you can offer. 2003 frontier 3.3 auto trans. thanks again

New fuel and ignition electrical relays. New battery. Truck start starts and idles like it was new. After 30 to 60 seconds of idling, the truck shuts off. It'll start right up again but shuts down after less idling time each time I restart the truck. Handheld cheapy $60 Scan tool shows no fault codes.

First, I want to let you know that your Videos are very clear easy to follow. Now I changed the TPS in my 2003 Infiniti QX4 before seeing your video and mistakenly placed the TAB on the opposite side of the throttle pin. During testing, the engine was revving up and down and then stop working. Found out ECU was fried. Purchased one on eBay and after installing the ECU and the IACV engine did not start. Pull out codes P1610 and P1611 which I guess would be normal. Had my original ECU repaired and reinstalled but the engine won't start. At this point, I need to find one last option to get the engine up and running or tow the car to a mechanic for repairs. Greatly would appreciate any input.

Ignore the knock sensor code unless it just drives you nuts. My 01 Frontier v6 has had that code for 10+ years. Almost any code on that Nissan will trigger the Knock Sensor. In my case, the IAC valve triggered it. Replaced the IAC and went on my way. Eventually, it threw a TPS code and the Knock code again. Replaced the TPS. If you yo decide to tackle the Knock Sensor, relocate it onto the upper intake. Makes life much much easier.

Which should come first, second, or third in terms of adjustments - IACV, distributor, TPS, or any other else? Sentra 1998 GA14 engine here. Thanks.

Does the key flick memory reset work on an 06 frontier? I'm going to replace mine, to see if if fixes the random turning off of the truck, and going to replace the cam position sensor as well.

Hello, thanks for the video. I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra. I accidently killed the battery while working on it. Now it idles at 350-400 rpm. I've tried every technique on here to reset the idle. nothing is working. Any suggestions? I might try and adjust the TPS or clean throttle body but it idled fine till I drained the battery. Thanks in advance.
