To : The Legend Songs : I had the pleasure of meeting Frank Sinatra in 1984 at the Sands Casino in Atlantic City on night, and he had a huge entourage with him and was going up in a private elevator that nobody could use! And I was carrying my coins from the slot machines in a Sands Casino bucket and I past by his entourage and got a glimpse of Frank Sinatra and I said hello Mr.Sinatra & he said hello back to me and thats a memory I'll never forget! Then a whole bunch of fans rushed to the elevator, and it was closed by the time they could get a glimpse of him like I did! But I was the only one that saw him & said hello to him and he answered back by saying hello and like I said thats a memory I'll never forget!

Cool story... I heard of another story in Las Vegas... Frank Sinatra was leaving the Casino one night after a long day of work and play... and gave a guy a $100 tip just for opening the car door... Frank then asked the guy... What's the biggest tip you ever had?... the guy said $200 Dollars... Intrigued, Frank asked the guy before closing the door... Who gave it to you?... I used to love listening to this song with my grandpa. Now he's gone, it gives me a sense on nostalgia, and along with it, a sense that I have lost an important part of my life. This song still brings back memories. Hope to see my grandpa again, on the other side, one day.
I'm 68 but this 70s compilation has made me feel like a 20 year old again! I can't help but bop around to the beat! So many of these songs take me back to particular places and the people I was with at that time. Better than any blood pressure pills or statins!

I almost forgot, my husband saw him in 1963 with the RAT PACK at the Sands Casino before I became his girlfriend and wished I was there, but I had my chance of meeting him with his entourage when he was going up the elevator! Even the elevator was heavily guarded by 2 of his entourage and the Sands Casino Security couldn't guard it, he had his own bodyguards guarding the elevator! What a beautiful memory that I'll never forget, love his music and I did see him in concert with my now husband and his music will live on forever and be played forever for many years and I'll be dead and gone and his music will still be played in the next generation!

There's some quality to Sinatra's voice that I can't quite get a grip on to describe. There's never been another quite like him and I doubt there ever could be. It isn't just the voice, it's the phrasing and the ability to sing almost any song as if it was a part of him. Just incredible.

An older buddy of mine was a bartender in Vegas in the 60's-70's and took care of Elvis and Frank when they were in town. He said Elvis was a sweetheart, never drank and payed gospel on the piano in his suite but Frank could be a bit of a sourpuss and loved his booze. He used to ask Frank to tip him up front too or he would forget!
The talent and magic of the old legends will never be matched. What sad times we live in!

My dads first cousin married a first cousin of Frank's, while visiting them in Philadelphia back in the early 70s it was her birthday and Mr. Sinatra sent he a large crystal bowl of red long stmmed roses. Had to be 2 or three dozen. She's probably one of Frank Sinatra biggest fans. Her other love is Elvis. You didn't want to say anything negative about either of them in front of her.
I still remember when my older brother was alive from morning till dusk this is his favorite to play he never gets tired of listening to all of Frank Sinatra's songs
