  • While I did not expect too much from this low cost bicycle lock, I must say it was still less than I hoped for. No lock made in the last decade should be this easy to jiggle open. I can only hope videos like this lead to more testing being done before new locks are sold.
    Info. I found on Wikipedia shows BRG Sports, owner of Riddell football helmets, sold the Bell, Giro, C-Preme, and Blackburn brands to Vista in 2016.

    I have that Goso dimple rake but I haven't been able to find a lock it will fit into, until now. The core on that lock is alot like the Harbor Freight hitch pin locks . I saw those at Walmart too glad I didn't get one now, lol. Great video and have a great Sunday.

      Ya I had to dig this tool out of the abyss. I have several junk tools I just cant toss, now I'm glad I kept it. This lock reminds me the HF also and similar to the BELL bicycle locks

    The Blackburn name was pretty will known (many years ago) for making bike accessories. I still have a pair of their pannier racks for my touring bike. Guess things have change over the years... I THINK I know the answer to this one but did you happen to check the shackle to see if it's hardened?

    • @AlbertLebel
      @AlbertLebel  Před 2 lety

      I did check it and it's not but it has no claims so I didn't make a stink about it. Perhaps I should share that anyways in future vids just to be thorough

      @SecuritySpecial Před 2 lety

      Totally agree : atrocious core but, in the UK, the D-lock is a better visual deterrent than a cable lock. And I honestly thought those Goso dimple rakes had their day because of lock manufacturers taking more care and attention of their dimple mechanisms.

    • @AlbertLebel

    • @AlbertLebel
      @AlbertLebel  Před 5 měsíci

      @chasemcpheeters Far as tension tools, Sparrows lock picks. One of mine is on there called the Lebel wrench. Just click on tension tools and scroll through. The dimple rake is the tricky one because they usually come in cheap pick sets. Try and do google search and see if anyone sells them alone. I’m not sure.
