You should try uraraka next she gets great mobility with her shooting ability if you jump and shoot and the spin ability can juggle downed opponents while also having the biggest hit box known to man

Iida is basically a support character disguised as a speedster. I like this idea.
I feel like they should change a few people to support honestly
@@dcs2390 yeah and I feel like cementas should be more defense character since his main support is defending and blocking opponents. That way you get better defense with him alone and not needing a all might, Deku, or kendo for the defense buff

You are correct. Dude is insane. I have been playing him since the start and I have been dominating 1v3s no problem, stealing items, picking off people for revive, hitting and running to go heal, carrying teammates to safety constantly.
People calling Iida bad just isn’t comfortable or doesn’t know how to play him effectively. When you master him, he is one of the hardest people to chase and/or kill and him being on anyone’s team makes the team’s chances of surviving much higher.
Only thing is he gets countered by trap characters pretty hard since all his damage requires him to be in melee range.
Also fun tip for Iida. If you are planning to fight and you know you have a level card on you, don’t use it. Instead leave it to level up recipro burst to end it early. That way you don’t get hit with the penalty of it. (Though this isn’t need as using recipro wheel will do the job pretty well in keeping you safe)
Also. I don’t think he’s that bad late game. At least when there are vertical structures. I found that people easily lose track of him close quarters due to his speed.
Imo he is on the same level as tsuyu.

If you want to deal max damage with Ida you can actually combo his beta quirk with his alpha just start the combo with two alpha hits then finish with his beta for a easy 200 damage mid to late game.
I just seen this comment after commenting the same thing lol. It takes practice, but it's so worth it to combo two A and one B

The only issue I have with the beta is that I can't play it they only put it on play station not xbox not pc NOT switch nothing.

Another pro tip. If someone has guard points use 2 A's then use your kick B it does more overall damage output and counts as a combo in hit stun and if your camera is fast enough you CAN Land it
I love how this game is a combination of a battle royale and a fighting game. Nice little twist to the genre

Dude his movement is insane using his abilities so many times I left an ambush and made it to to other side of the map without even using the L1. Great rat it out character

Tryed Iida today, and he is actually busted. The kick decimates shields and then i can combo. They also can't run from me.

His MO is saving others first while still knowing how to use his immense power the best- to run or to fight, win and or save.

Kendo seems to hard counter Lida during fights due to all his attacks being melee. Just bait out his attacks with her shield to stagger him. But she has no movement options and no range, so Lida doesn’t have to worry about her chasing him down
So if everyone is playing Iida wrong... Does that mean that i've got unlucky for the last 5 matches against a LOT of teams with an god Iida ?

Using the Gamma quirk after the speed boost if over you don’t just stop sprinting you stop doing everything not melee or any sort of attacks do anything

You forgot to add that after you launch them with all 3 alpha hits, the beta kick also combos and tracks them.
Been playing for hours can't wait to own it but still enjoying the beta
Iida needs a range damage reduction and/or while in his turbo he can pick up allies faster so that I don't get immediately shot in the back while picking up my Ally

This is what Overwatch could be but they're so focused on maximizing profits they didnt capitalize while it was the biggest IP. Now I'll happily play this, i just ordered a ps5 yesterday so I'll have it before this fully releases. Already tried it on my 4 and it's one of the most fun and engaging games ever made lol there's so much nuance in each character while also not being overwhelming. It's literally Fortnite but better for me
Iida is one of the best characters in the game and when he’s teamed up with Dabi it’s game over for most players that pull up on them
I think Iida just scales a lot more with game understanding and. Even a DECENT Iida is yikes to fight.
The ones i’ve run into have been absolute nightmares as they dive me while their team isn’t far behind. Saying he’s not good is cap i think he’s pretty top tier.

@@terraemiya8448 imo it’s dabi then shig my main reason is shig bc is a lot weaker than dabi when they are low quirk lvl.
Just as a heads up for anyone new to rumble, several of core things aren’t accurate anymore and must have changed. No double jump I can see, can’t use abilities during stall etc. still helpful though!

Hawks, All for one, lady nagant, endeavor, etc so many good characters they could add. It'd be cool if they could make hawks glide, so u could combo Kendo's throw with his gliding

He’s been my main since day one so here’s a tip you can pick your teammates up mid finisher and save them

Don't get stuck into the three recipro wheel kicks.
Do two RWK and then for the final hit, throw in recipro burst.
At max RWK you get 60, 60×3= 180, but if you do two 60×2=120 and do a RB, so you get 140+60=200.
Even with low lvl RWK & RB you get 40×2=80+100=180.
With this combo, i fought a full team alone and was about to down them fast. Yes that might sound easy and simple, but when you are fighting a denki,deku, and shigo in last zone, it makes a difference
Did they patch out his double jump because i cant seem to do it? i can do a second jump using his gamma quirk but its not a standard double jump like the one shown in the video. just started playing last night so i might be missing something??
when i use Iida i use him to chase down players who are low or solo great for team combos like shoto or denki

Lida has a triple jump ,also you can do the spin kick 2x and throw the r1 special of you time if right. honestly he needs a buff and projectiles need a nerf.

Yeah I have no idea why people would say he's weak. This man is easily to me, one of the strongest characters in game just because of his speed and mobility. In a 1v1 situation, if you know his range and how to exploit his passive and speed, you literally don't die, even at final circle
So like a support/speedster i like it
Iida us severely under-rated since he has high damage when pairing his alpha with his beta which is (when aimed right) a true combo
I’m definitely playing him
Iida’s great, it’s just that certain things make him unnecessarily inconsistent to play. The tracking + questionable netcode make his beta quirk inconsistent to hit, and the fact that alpha quirk has inconsistent launch directions requires you to play on max sensitivity and become a flicking god at the expense of your aim on all other character’s aim in order to consistently combo his air normal(which you aim with your screen as if it’s an alpha quirk) afterwards. The fact that leveling his recipro burst ends it can fuck you up if you’re trying to loot on the run and are now forced to endure the lengthy startup for a second time to maintain the boost lest you go out of your way to come back for that skill card later.
His potential is high, but the game stops him from being a consistent character to pilot, which is why he doesn’t feel good to a lot of people. And of course, it doesn’t help that he’s the only character who gets punished for just USING an ability where everyone else only has to worry about
A. heavy mismanagement in depleting the last stock of a multi-use ability and then losing access until the replenish all stocks or
B. longer recharge time in buffs/installs like Tsuyu stealth and Mt Lady Godzilla mode when they drain it dry…which is still avoidable by just ending it early and STILL not a whole ass “please kill me I literally can’t dodge anything” debuff.
P.S. Funny point my friend said when we were arguing with an Iida downplayer making the asinine argument that he was D tier: Iida being countered by the shield of Itsuka, the worst assault character in the game due to her complete lack of range and mobility, actually makes him better because her pick rates are so much lower than the majority of the cast and picking Itsuka to counter Iida makes the overall team so much weaker to just about everybody else that it’s still a net positive. Just thought “losing to a bottom tier is good tho” was an interesting way to look at character strength.

When I first played Iida, I thought he sucked so I stopped playing him for a bit but then because he's one of my favorites from the show, I decided to try and stick with him and then I discovered his strengths! This dude's a beast and I win so much with him!
I love activing recipro turbo and going into huge team fights hitting people or stealing items and dipping back to my teammates 😂😂

I struggle to land Iida's A and B skills, let alone chain them. I'm wondering if this is because I've toggled Aim Assist off, do you know if that setting just impacts projectile abilities or also lunges like Iida's?
I have mine off and it still just targets towards enemies so I think its just that you’re probably too far that you miss your shots

There’s a glitch? Bug? That makes him stuck in his alpha quirk animation and just fly across the whole map and YOU CANNOT STOP HIM. Also try Omega Strikers please ;)
I don't think there'll be different build for this game. This is just like mobas, you'll have the best order of leveling and that's that. You should always build in favor of wining fights rather than mobility so iida will probably just be alpha quick first and gamma quirk last. The build won't change much besides u not doing any consistent damage with the alpha quirk, so there's no reason for that. Also leveling the speed just for the 3 seconds is not worth cuz most times u won't even get there and you'll have your other abilities not doing enough damage for the time being

Ngl so with his gamma quirk. I like to pretend to run towards the still up enemy and past the one that is getting up. Dark souls back and hit whatever combo i have cooldowns for on the guy i just head faked. The potential for 1v3s with movement mastery on ida is massive. Mix the knee in the fight regularly when outnumbered, people who dont play him usually continue playing like you used a cooldown and are gonna run out. You can really spam it some idas have zero clue

Lida was my favourite the moment I unlocked him, stupid teammate who gets himself killed constantly? Stay at distance go in kick people away pick him up and run! The movement he has is just intoxicating

Iida + damage dealer + other i guess, is probably pretty good i guess, i havent played the game yet
I hope the next character you cover fits the play style of a sniper. Someone told me Dabi fit that role because of his fire balls, but while they have good homing, they’re speed is lacking.
The closest character to a sniper currently is Bakugo who basically fires a laser beam that does good damage at a fairly low firerate. It's not hitscan however so you still have to lead your shots and personally, I found that turning off aim assist helped me aim better with him as the AA didn't always know my intentions (and you have to lead your shots). I also find that Bakugo players like when I make them float as Ochaco due to getting extra distance and mobility from his specials so that could be a decent pairing. Just my experience but hope this helps.
Edit: I forgot to mention that his range is fairly low, as his shots disappear at about mid-range so if you're looking for just range then Toga is your best bet, but she's more like a smg than a sniper
