Flashing in a combo over the top of a major stack war has to be one of the coolest things you can do in cedh
Either that or sneak in an ad nauseam as a non-blue player
it feels pretty damn good, and elsha gets to do it a not-that-infrequent amount. if you can stick an enlightened tutor in a big stack war you just get that breach and say get wrecked to everyone at the table

The funniest thing for me was that if Emma didn't greedily kill kambal there was a chance that the underworld breach combo would have failed
Definitely a punt, it was going to hurt the Elsha player way more during this stormy nonsense, doesn't hurt the Niv player because it doesn't care about draws
Elsha had soul partition, so she could exile cambal before proceeding to dig for mox opal
@@Jaxaxo I mean, sure, but also niv could have used that on her or something. I don't know. feels weird to remove the anti storm tech during the storm turn. I should have phrased it better. did I miss something there or that was purely to draw a card and remove a piece at the same time?
I agree with u on that, removing kamball from niv mizzet point of view was kinda waste of interaction. But like u said, its possible the reason behind it was to dig deeper for another interactions

This has gotta be one of the best, most complicated stack wars I've ever seen and proves Smothering Tithe is one of the best 4cmc cedh cards.

I wish y'all still did stats at the end of the game! Number of treasures created, number of cards drawn to Niv/Elsha and number of spells/abilities on the stack simultaneously would have been fun to see just how big the numbers were

It's a good deck! It's complicated though, so you'll have to learn some intricate lines.
I counted 57 spells and triggered abilities in one stack. That's a good team effort, well done to everyone for managing to keep track of it.

Went to time in a game like this, all four players were playing reasonable speed but we were paralyzed by the number of different triggers in play.

Nabeel had dranith magistrate opening hand...that would of slowed everyone else right down
We don't run smothering tithe in CEDH because it's expensive to run CEDH, let alone the price of Smothering Tithe alone.

Volcanic island is a mountain and an island. It has two basic land types.

I know in the past when people haven't wanted them to be displayed they weren't, so maybe that's why? They've been diligent about it so I don't imagine it was an oversight.
