Man it's a shame people don't talk about Roger as much when they're talking about really good barbershop tenors. He may not have the extreme high full voice impressive stuff that others might, but his ability to fit into the chord and lock in perfectly is something truly special that isn't talked about enough. Just listen to that last chord!!!! He's so in tune with Myron's harmonics that it barely sounds like he's even there, yet the chord is so full, Roger is just so good!!!
Waiting for your transcription!
The music theory puns and references they do kill me every time 😂😂
When you think they're about to make a just intonation reference but then you realize that minor thirds are supposed to be raised in most contexts (like in the minor chord they were singing).
@@teddydunn3513I just noticed
Every single one of these barbershop groups is so insanely talented I have no idea how the judges pick
That bass singer (Myron?) is amazing. He holds those notes for freakin' ever. Talk about breath control. Good job.
Yeah, Myron is an amazing singer and seems like a cool dude.
It's even more impressive when you realize that singing lower nights requires more airflow than higher notes
He’s actually my uncle haha
@@landonhall8782 cool
These guys remind me of the penguins of Madagascar
the penguins off Mary Poppins

*deadpan* Now I'm wearing tap shoes all the time
*tap*
Seriously if I'm in a bad mood i just look up Main Street and just start cracking up
The Newfangled Four are a sure bet too
That last chord was dope
Is that a good thing?
affirmative.
xD
It was certainly the bomb, yo, dawg
Scott Powers they call it the 5th note where everyone sings the same line in unison to make a certain sound i love the way it sounds
and their dream was fulfilled
did they win?
Yup!
Yay!!!
@@axlemcdonald YESSSSSSSS
oh my god its OhHellfire, the original Anthony Fantano. How you holding up?
Now we’re stars online, 800k views
NFF: I’m about to end their whole career
A wild Filing cabinet honestly think they’re better
@@vincenthubschmann6512 Who? I think I like The Newfangled Four better, but of course Main Street are great too.
They did a colab!
All 8 of them on the same number.
Edit: here a link czcams.com/video/-TNecocWFkA/video.html
Pop songs is up to 6.1 million views and MS have their gold medals. Much as I love NFF, they never finished higher than 6th and Ryan has stepped away from the group.
Flatten 'em and Platinum. So perfect!
do you know what the meant by flatten em? What does that mean like in the music world
He was referring to singing high notes flat, which he doesn't really do.
Paul Olguin oooh. Thank you!
Does anybody know what the judges said or did after the flatten'm joke that caused Mike to laugh?
rebecca parham sent me here and she didn’t disappoint
Welcome to barbershop
SAME!!!
yup me to
Same..
Same
That last harmony almost blew my speakers out with resonance!!!! Amazing!!!
Id vote for Main Street every time
You all fit together perfectly. Myron as a bass you can sure hold a note.
That overtone at the end though!!!
Wow! Their vocals are AMAZING! I've been in various a Capella groups and choirs for almost 45 years, and babershop was by far the most difficult style technically to conquer. I applaud your abilities.👏
that last harmony!!
Did anyone else hear the guy scream at 4:21 after they said "We want to hear the audience yell and cream"?
scream
Yep
Perfect timing and tune
Those guys give me the creeps!
SO FUCKING AWESOME!
Best barbershop quartet I've ever seen. And that was a lot...
This group and the new fanged four are icons I love them
Amazing. Simply amazing. How do you guys not win every year. This music brings peace to the darkest parts of the earth.
So glad to see Roger singing with Main Street. Great Tenor!
the stereo effect really helps make the contribution of the different parts clearer, props to the audio engineers for that attention to detail with their recording setup.
That final part gives me 'main' goosebumps every time I hear it
How does this only have 84k views... barbershop too underrated/underappreciated.
not anymore :0
710k now 🤯
These guys are just the best. That's all.
Thanks Rebecca for bringing me here.
4:27 gotta love the graceful key change! 👌🏻
I just love Myron as bass. WOW!
My mom introduced me to these goofballs with their "Evolution of Dance" medley a couple months ago, and I've loved then since!
Be honestHow many people actually looked up "Boy picks nose while eating broccoli"?
hysterical. Main Street is something else.
I can never cease from cracking a smile during Main Street songs. And then it breaks out into a giant grin! Who joins in at the final bit, either alongside Myron or the other three? I try to, hehe!
That last part got me hold my breath. AMAZING! 👍💯👑
Main Street are just the best!
10/10 on that tag.
I am just discovering this video and I am grinning from ear to ear, Well done!!
Brought tears to my eyes at the end, after laughing throughout. Very entertaining.
I feel cheated! There's no such broccoli video to be found!
podari it's only just over 3 million views.
...it was for the rhyming scheme you see
Ah my quartet! humour sound blend love em
Will miss them but am loving new tangled four
They're still together, just not competing anymore. They have a tour, check out their website!
LifeOnTheEdge won’t help me I’m in Australia
My two favorite barbershop quartet
1. NEWFANGLED FOUR
AND
2. MAIN STREET
Like if you agree
Lunch Break has a great humor sense as well.
@@lemonringo566 sadly they disbanded a while ago
@@EN_Lee why?
Fernando Rosas i’m sure you could find it online. all members of lunch break are still participating in barbershop one way or another
Just wanted to say that my family and I really enjoy watching and listening to you guys! Keep it up!
0:48 Yes we’d rather be the champs than forever suffering cramps - OW, OW, OW!
I see these guys every year live!!! They rock!!!
I really enjoy listening to you guys. Watching your video on explaining how barbershop singing works is really good.
I love barbershop. My uncle sang in a group. It's wonderful.
Just wow these guys are amazing don’t think there is one song I haven’t got goosebumps with! X
Love that belt at the end
Props to that guy at 4:19 for actually screaming
i dare say i would like to see you on one of the got talent shows... hands down i'd vote for ya'll
these guys are pretty great ❤❤❤
This is pure gold
I laugh every time I see this! Top shelf stuff for sure!
Absolutely amazing! Love this guys!
These guys are AWESOME!
A nice 17-second post, and from the bass, no less!
Top class singing & comedy . Thanks for posting
I just plain loved it.
Absolutly magical
That ending thoughhh
Beautiful sound guys.

Love this song! Hey Myron, where is your pocket watch?!?
Why do I discover them only now?? They sound great AND are funny!
Brilliant, loved it!
They are the best!
Anyone else sent here by Let Me Explain Studios?

Awsome
Love mainstreet
I can't help feeling like I am playing bioshock infinite right now
That's what got me into this lol!
what a flex from tony, winning three golds from MaxQ, Platinum and Keepsake!
Perfect!
1:31 Anyone else notice Tony's hat pop up?
I think the back slipped whoch made the front go up. Sweat is pretty slippery.
Damn Mike, you are SO good!
Cindy Montgomery Wyneken He is surely one of the best Barbershop Baritones in our era, almost as good as Tony back when he was in Platinum and Keepsake.
These guys are hilarious!
Anyone here from Let me explain studios. These guys are actually great
Keep up the good work like it
I figured it out, he had too remove the pocket watch during the previous song, halfway though the Evolution of dance Medley when he did the jump and big dance move with Tony! He didn't forget it, he just had to tuck it into his pocket for the rest of the set!
Okay, I wasn't the only one who noticed that.
Definitely deserved to win imo
omg i love this lol
luvit
main street is so good!
Very nice
Muito bonito adorei obrigada

Barber-shizzle!
1:17 KJ referenced that in Love Me and the World is Mine
dude the bass is imposible , how in the name of the lord he has so much air ?
My pick for this years champion.
❤️❤️❤️
Man these guys can really lean on a chord.
First time I watched this group I thought Roger was the bass, then I started watching more and now I've got names and parts down.
The third guy makes me think of Tom Arnold. I love this group :)
Hey isnt the third guy from voctave??
Yup
