First is the USB 2.0, I’ve seen many people using the 15 pro to see films or playing video games on Tv, simply with the cable, is possible to do that also with the normal 15? This question because I use the phones for many years and so I try to look aspects that maybe in the future developers will use for apps or different uses.
Second one is the impossibility to use it a dock bases not having the always on display but this I ti honk can’t be resolved

Now I see why apple didn't give the 15's the "Pro Motion" display. Because they're actually the better buy
And I think it’s kinda better, I guess, because promotion drains the battery, you can go see any comparison between 60hz iPhones vs the pros and the standard iPhones will always last longer, and besides promotion doesn’t affect the performance in any way, it’s just a feature you can actually see through your eyes, not in screen recording or video shooting or anything else

If you have automation in your home and you use shortcuts and homekit...the Pro is a must. It is so powerful mapping shortcut menus to the action button. The action button is amazing.

Was planning to get the 15 Pro coz of the natural titanium color, 6.1 inches screen and 120hz. But the battery life is trash for its expensive price. I mght just get the base 15 green as my second phone or the new Pixel phone.
You’re gonna love the base 15. Slightly better battery than Pro but a lot lighter and more affordable.
The fact Apple doesn't give you always on display for this is crazy! It's literally a software thing they choose not to give you. That is insane.

I don’t need the pro model. But I crave for that 120hz in the base model. Even the cheapest Android phones have had it for years.
Don't quote me on this, but I swear newer iOS versions run less optimized on 60hz displays. And I swear what I'm saying is true, because 60hz is actually quite smooth, but on the iPhone 15 the animations seem to refresh slower than 60hz. Like, I can clearly notice the frames in the app opening/closing animations. This doesn't happen when I use my iPod Touch running iOS 9.
This is why I advocate for higher refresh rates. Not because 60hz isn't enough, but because newer iOS versions seem to have "nerfed" the smoothness for 60hz panels. Oddly enough, it's the same story with newer Android versions as well.
To further prove this point, my mirrorless camera's EVF runs at 60hz and yet I still find it super smooth for photography.

Because of the form factor I might get an iPhone 15, no way I am spending almost $200 more for the Telephoto cam or the 120Hz display, I have seen other videos where the Main Cam of the iPhone 15 is very good.

Love my 15 Plus in black. Was worried I was going to miss 120hz coming from a 13PM but it hasn't been an issue at all.
I thought the same but I got used to it the 60hz again and everything about the 15 plus I like more than the 120hz and telephoto on the 13PM. Which are the only two things we really sacrificed. And I didn’t today much either

I'm sick to death of people like this guy saying "most people don't care about high refresh rate". Even if that's true it's not an excuse to give Apple a pass for not giving a higher refresh rate. No Android phone in this price range would get away with this. Also no android phone with an oled display would get away without having an always on display.
If they plan to make the Plus model part of the line, they should bump the hertz exclusively to the plus models due to the big screen.

I know that for the minority of the "normal" consumers 60hz would be ok, but in my opinion they should implement it, only because it costs nearly 800$ and all of its competition has it in every other Android Phone, it would be a really good upgrade!
That's just the thing though. "Every other Android" phone has 90Hz or 120Hz in their phones. iPhones? They can get away with 60Hz because they know with or without a fast refresh rate, it will still sell. iPhone 13 was the BEST selling iPhone in 2022. A phone with a 60Hz panel. Number 2 is iPhone 13 Pro Max with a 120Hz panel. I think eventually iPhone 17 will have 90Hz and Pro will have 120Hz.

The minority is the actual power users and not “normal” users who get them for media consumption and browsing for the NON-Pro models
When you compare them with androids think about the fact that they have to get better than iphones cause apple has made it so popular and good that competition has a hard time getting people interested

@@user-pk8ej6jm8w Has absolutely nothing to do with gaming. Most mobile games don't even support 120hz yet. It's mainly in software UI animations that you see the difference.

I use a Samsung 90hz screen for work and I can’t tell the difference. I suppose what you do with your phone makes a difference.

@@Exparcelman I have a hypothesis regarding that, and it's that the software isn't taking full use of the 90hz display. Technically speaking it is refreshing at 90hz, but the UI animations exhibit less than 90 frames/second . Maybe that's why some people don't notice any difference.

Awesome review! I get that it's worth getting the 15 over the cheaper 14 but what if I can get the 14 PRO MAX with 256 GB 95% battery health for the same price as the base model 15, which would you choose? and why?
95% is not 100%. Sadly, there's just something up with a lot of the 14 Pro series (not just mine) and I really would suggest getting the newer phone just cause you can get AppleCare on it *in case* anything ever happens. Maybe your experience with the 14 Pro Max might be better but mine wasn't. Plus, the lighter chassis is a HUGE difference. The in-hand feel on any of the 15 series iPhones are just gonna be better, plus USB-C :D

I’m really debating between the base model 15 and the 15 plus. I’m upgrading from the XR, so they will both be a HUGE difference. Just not sure if the extra $100 is worth it? Any advice?
I upgraded from the XR as well to the 15 but I only got the plus because I’d prefer a bigger screen. Literally there is no difference apart from the bigger screen and the battery. My plus lasts so long I barely charge it.
I have a XR too, I’ll buy the 15 Plus in december because of the battery. I thought on buying the Pro Max but I don’t need the extras on that phone, so I’ll take the regular Plus.

People can't continue to justify the 60hz by saying "most people don't notice it anyway". Apple could've given 120hz and give you a choice to enable the higher refresh rate or not. But people still want to be exploited and still buy these expensive base iPhones that lacks a feature that most flagships have for years.

I'm no reviewer but I would get the 15 plus unless the telephoto lens is really important to you ... Yeah it's a bummer it only comes with 60 hz on the screen but after you start using the phone for a while I think he just forget about it that it's not a nicer refresh rate

Everyone whining bout 60hz display but no one said that they are actually USELESS i made some researches and….🤣there is no videos movies games or anything else content you can use those 120 hz,thats just beautiful numbers (i mean for scrolling feed of course it feels but its not THAT necessary) 90% of internet still using 30fps not to mention 60fps which is still rare,and everyone crying about mythical 120 fps
u should know difference between watching content and interacting with it. 120hz makes u smooth to interact like scrolling. watching content does not require any scrolling so they r mostly 24, 30fps.

No it doesn’t…pro max 256 gb is 1199 and 15 plus 256 gb is 999…that’s a difference of $200. The 15 plus in 512 gb is the price equivalent to the 1st tier storage level of the 15 pro max.

i disagree, here is the thing. in my opinion the 15 plus looks ugly with a huge case and a tiny camera, it lacks the 120hz display and the pro chip. the color options are boring as well. the iphone i will be going with this year is the 15 pro. i am aware of the battery life concerns but i believe they can be taken care of via a software update. the pro model looks better in every aspect, has the better camera, has the necessary 120hz display and other features which make the price gap totally worth it in my opinion. im interested in your ideas so feel free to reply!
Not everyone needs the Pro though. I think what people are forgetting here is that what Android users and iPhone users look for in phones are different. Their needs are gonna be completely different.
Not only that, and most people I know who have used both would prob agree, 60hz on iPhone is smoother than 60hz on Android phones.

It's actually not 'okay' to have a 60hz display in the $800 phone. And people should stop defending it, tech is about giving you that extra benefit every time you pay that hefty amount on a device. If giving 60 hz is that okay with everyone then why did they even introduced 120hz display??!! It's like getting a bullock cart for $20k and saying that won't notice because they haven't ever sat in the car🙂.
