I've watched The Untamed several times, and at this scene I always cry. The music is very fitting and very touching. It was sad to see Wei Ying being treated like that by Jiang Cheng. And seeing Wangyi shed tears, makes me even more sad. Finally Jiang Cheng was humiliated by Wen Ning

It is here that both LZ and JC realize just how grave it is when WWX loves someone-down to the point that he would throw himself away for the sake of them.
They begin to understand him, even if there is denial in JC’s part.
JC knows his brother-of course, he does. He knows just how self-sacrificing WWX is. But he never would have thought that he would be one of the people his brother would sacrifice himself for. This is the thing about him-he underestimates his value, but he covers it up by being rude and indifferent.
WWX is the same, but he doesn’t cover up how he devalues himself. Even if he acts arrogant, he values his life a little less than everyone else’s, especially when it comes to family.
LZ can finally see the burden that WWX is carrying. And I think this adds to the contempt LZ feels towards JC. You can see it clearly here. And he can also understand why WWX did the things that he did. He can finally understand why WWX had to push LZ away, even when WWX didn’t want to do that. He can finally understand why WWX would rather be alone after the Sunshot Campaign, away from family and friends.
Hmmm.. agree, and I know someone who's same in real life drama exactly thesame. But I just have a glimmer of hope that someday thier endings would be better than this movie. 🤔

I do not think LZ felt contempt towards JC, or at least not in drama. He knew JC's pain as well, he was completely left alone and he wanted to vent on WWX who he blames for everything. He was angry with JC, he did not fell contempt

I think Ning love Weiying so much because he always got hurt by others like he did. He saw what others didn't and that was Weiying cared and was self sacrificing for others without expecting anything in return.

This scene is gold. Not just because of the revelation but this is the only scene where Wen Ning gets mad and actually shouts!!
However, this scene is iconic in many ways.
LZ finally realizes that why Wei left the sword path and how much he misunderstood WWX in his previous life. How WWX quietly endured every insult, sufferings and pain all alone, even he was not able to be by his side.
While JC realizes that how he had misunderstood his brother. To JC it must have been like a lightening bolt on his head because finally he knows that the reason WWX was driven to the edge was none other than him. Wei gave up his bright cultivational path, his strong spiritual power, his decent path to success, his swords life and his golden core to him, JC. This is indeed a hard pill to swallow.
Just love love how Ghost General tell JC off. Wei ying got two people who really care for him.Lanzhan and the Ghost General.
Idk everytime I watches this scene my tears just fall down like I've watched this year ago, but the pain is still there. WW's selfless is so damn. I still can't move on from this MASTERPIECE!
When wen siblings went to surrender themselves and wei wuxian came down the mountain to find them he thought " there is no way he can go / there is no road for him" … he didn't have his golden core & then he became a traitor of JC & the whole Cultivation world was thinking him as villain, he can't go to gusu with lan zhan and he also had to protect defence less wen people who were living in the mountain 😭😭 there was no way he can go 😭😭

Why I hate about Cheng's character is his ungratefulness. Imagine, hitting Wei Ning with his Zidjian, who took care of him when he was unable, sobber and useless. Certainly lacking good judgment.

JC didn't know Wei ying saved his life. He love his brother, but still wants to play mean. I think he was jealous that Wei ying went to Lanzhan instead of staying with him. Love untamed
Did JC never try to find out how he escaped? Or who take care of him, in whose house he was resting?
I think JC thought he martyred himself to save WWX by diverting those soldiers from capturing his brother. So maybe that was the beginning (though he had always been a pain) of his arrogance growing and growing. He was so "maligned". Wah, I had to do it all. Then he yells at his brother, "why didn't you tell me?" Give us a break. You would have been worse than ever. I try to cut him some slack, but it is very hard to do so.

For all that Jiang Cheng and the Cultivation world keeps yapping about honour this honour that righteousness this the straight path that, Wen Ning for me is the most honourable character amongst them all. This is the guy who risked high treason to the most powerful Clan in the cultivation world to help Wei Wuxian and the Jiangs because Wei Wuxian is his friend, and the one who stayed through everything for that friend. Fans are always gagging for "Yunmeng brothers" but Wen Ning is the real MVP little brother, compared to Jiang Cheng who never honoured his debt towards the Wen siblings and only saw Wei Wuxian as a property who's supposed to be "his" and should do everything according to Jiang Cheng's wishes. Even if he's not human, Wen Ning always sees others as HUMAN BEINGS while Jiang Cheng just sees everyone as merely props that he could own or blame for anything that goes wrong in his life.
