This only makes Lan Zhan dislike Jiang Cheng even more then before. He was showing some much emotion looking at his beauty and listening to Wen Ning and thinking of the times he asked about Suibain as well and how everything fell into place now. 🥺
I doubt LZ disliked JC over this, after all JC himself was unaware and was in just as much shock as LZ was. His anger here was on himself because he realized that how he misunderstood Wei and was not there for him when he was all alone enduring all this suffering!!

Rightly so. WW was already jumping off a cliff to his death, then trash JC instead of trying to help or even figure out his bro sends him packing to the afterlife. Only for LZ to find out the ungrateful bastard was given a core by WW. Btw JC never even fully apologizes. No one but LZ ever apologizes to WW for what they did to him. The only characters who annoy me more than JC are The Jin Clan psychos and Xue Yang.

J.C es producto de todo lo que ha vivido, de su entorno, su familia...pero su gran enemigo es el mismo. Siempre intentando demostrar que el es mejor, porque siente que vive a la sombra de su hermano, siempre quedando rezagado en comparación con WeiYing, sin darse cuenta que eso no es lo importante. No puedo odiar a este personaje, me puedo enojar con él, pero odiarlo, no. Más bien pena. WeiYing, porque lo conoce mejor que nadie y sabe de la valía de su hermano, lo acepta tal como es, ve en J. C lo que este no logra ver.
Jiang Cheng always felt inferior to Wei Ying-someone who holds up to the expectations of his father, someone so selfless and self-sacrificing without thinking about rewards or merits. He does the things he does without question, only because he knows that it is the right thing to do.
Jiang Cheng always-ALWAYS-second-guesses himself. He is always unsure of what to do, even when he becomes sect leader. He does things out of his worst impulses, only to regret them later in life.
He lost his whole family, including Wei Ying. And then Wei Ying falls into Demonic Cultivation and the world condemned him for it, even his own brother.
Now imagine being him…finding out that YOU are the reason for your sibling’s downfall, you can’t help but feel utterly useless, with your insecurities coming back full force with the guilt.
And then that brother never even told you. He never told you why he was weak, or why he did the things that he did.
Jiang Cheng pushed Wei Ying so far away because of his insecurities, to the point that Wei Ying feels like he has to carry this burden for the both of them.
Jiang Cheng has every right to feel lied to, to feel angry, and jealous, and frustrated. He has every right to feel aggrieved and wronged. And he has every right to be redeemed as Wei Ying’s brother and family.
Not to mention his pride. His pride is so big, he’ll crumble under it.
@@rheapunzel3 the weight of his pride is too heavy-and finding out about his core sure as hell demolished it. And I think that that is what needed to happen, to bring his head out of his ass and finally, FINALLY, see things a little bit better.
@@IvanIsYda_ I think it’s great when people have confidence in themselves, but if it’s too much, it could make them blind not only to others, but themselves. Maybe if Jiang Cheng learns to depend on others more, it can help with learning humility and kindness, instead of prejudice and judgment.
I found a fanfic where Sizhui stayed a whole week in Lotus Pier, and Jiang Cheng found out he was a Wen, and he struggled with his prejudice and his pride.

JC gets a lot of hate on this issue but really, everyone needs to give him a break.
JC was barely an adult when so many tragedies struck him. He already had deep seated inferioty complex towards Wei (instilled by his parents) and the clan leaders who were older and smarter than him, took advantage of this insecurity of his to break Wei and JC's relationship. After that (from JC POV) Wei became partly responsible for Jin Zixuan and Yanli's death and finally, WWX died too!!
He was left all alone with his grievances, sorrow, pain, hurt, and misery which all turned to hatred and bitterness. All he needed was someone to be with him and help him through this tough times but he had to do it himself as everyone had left him. That is hard and very tragic. I feel people really need to see and understand JC's POV as well!!

Even with everything that happened, you can’t help but feel bad for Jiang Cheng too. His parents had a toxic relationship and never made him feel like he was loved, he was always in his brother’s shadow, he lost said parents and became the youngest leader in history, forcing himself to grow up too fast, and he had to lose his family with every decision made. Now he just found out why half of those decisions were done.
That’s why I don’t get it when people hate on Jiang Cheng. The guy is essentially a victim in this-just as much as Jin Ling, Nie Mingjue, Lan Xichen, and Wei Ying were. Why do you hate on him, when he has every reason to be angry at the world? He has every right to feel the way that he does.

I know some people hate Jiang Cheng, and while I am a little pissed at him, I mostly feel sad for him. I cannot hate him, he reminds me of my siblings too much.
Raised in a toxic environment by abusive parents who constantly manipulated us and compared them to me, as a result they became toxic and feel entitled to use and take from me (not steal, but I go into my "giving mode" whenever they're around). I can't hate my siblings any more than I could hate Jiang Cheng.
I did send my entire family a letter saying I wanted them to never contact me again and to stay out of my life permanently and completely. Every time they come back in my life, they trigger my anxiety, depression, and PTSD through their toxicity.
I didn't cut ties with my family because I hate them, I cut ties with them because I need to take care of myself first.
If I could have them in my life, I would, but they just keep hurting me, and unlike Jiang Cheng, I doubt they'll ever apologise or even see the things they did wrong.
But yeah no, I can't hate them or Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng have suffer but his pain was so much that he didn't even saw how wei ying was in pain, they were never loved by their parents and only shijie was here for them. Knowing that wei ying could have die because of doing this make Jiang Cheng feel guilty and sad, he wasn't here for wei ying when he was alone or when he was wanted to die , even if he know that wei ying will come back , a memorial can make wei ying feel better. Both a'cheng and wei wuxian..sacrifice there life for them both...acheng sacrifice his self to protect wei wuxian..and wei wuxian gave up his golden core to protect jiang cheng.

I used to like Wen Ning, but did he really have to say that JC will always be inferior. Why didn’t he tell him that he has value and that his brother loved him unconditionally and never wanted to compete against him. What he said was cruel and unnecessary. There were much better things he could have said
WN and sister helped JC but he didn’t value that help, putting their own lives in danger, and joined in the elimination of the whole tribe and still actively chased any Wens down. He didn’t value nor appreciate any help given.
