Love the use of freezer paper. When I was in high school my best friend and I made snowflake sweatshirts by cutting snowflakes out of freezer paper then ironing them on as stencils. We were so crafty. 💜😊

This worked perfectly!!! I also didn't even have to use push pins when I had my iron on "no steam" and at the highest setting. Couldn't be happier with how my project turned out! Thank you so much for your tutorial!

Would not have thought to use flexseal in that manner. Too cool!! 😎 💗

This is so cute! I love the idea! Much better than punching with a stencil brush. I am definitely gonna try this with some flex seal…when it gets warm out.

So much better then spray paint! I've always skipped this diy because of the coverage. I win have to try it with the flex seal.

My family has been stomping all over and the durability of this stuff is crazy good! Definitely recommend trying.

I got my mat at walmart it was about $7. I used poster board instead of freezer paper. I tried all the other ways including the one where someone (no shade intended but this ruined my project) used iron on vinyl. That method doesn’t work. Anyway I used poster board and it was easy to get off the mat. Using iron on vinyl doesn’t adhere to the mat and the little bits that do stick and are difficult to get off. I used push pins to make the poster board be as close as possible. I mask off the rest of the mat then spray and leave to let dry for 90 minutes.

Isn’t it a sealant to use at the end?

Could Dollar Tree vinyl be used for this? They only have permanent at our Dollar Trees though.

Very nice! One question though - Can HTV be used for this? I have a few rolls in colors that I don’t like & know I won’t use for anything. I don’t want it to just sit around and go to waste, but I also don’t want to have a big mess if I use it on a rug with Flex Seal. Answers/advice from anyone is welcome! ✌🏼💜🛼

I tried making one with HTV. It turned out great, but I'd recommend the freezer paper over that method. Freezer paper seems to stick to the rug better than the vinyl, which makes the process a whole lot easier!
