Amazing player! The best! I have never seen anyone skate as smooth as him. He is the only reason I liked the mighty ducks and wore #9 when I played hockey. You rule Paul!
Absolutely! He flourished in an era with so much clutching and grabbing. I can't imagine how well he'd do in today's game.
He fell down and got back up.. that's a real good mix Scottish and Japanese. God bless you bro one of my favorite hockey players growing up
Will never forget that game 6....everyone will remember that moment and game for him...
Yeah man he came back and didn't even remember it. He was running on pure instincts.
Still one of my favourite moments of all time. 🙌🏼
My favourite canadian player
One of the best players to ever play the game hands down and no other asians have ever come close to his caliber #Represent
Have you heard of Richard Park?
@@queensblvd86 Lol richard park sucked
Watch out for Nick Suzuki on the Habs.
My favorite player
He was my favorite player growing up, as a boy from victoria BC. Had the pleasure of watching his brother as well live with our victoria salsa of the WHL. Easy HOF ballot, imagine him playing in today's game...
Kariya in today's game 😍 🔥
Of all 90’s dynamic duos selaane and Kariya were always the the least spoken and under rated to come up in that conversation. If only they had the supporting cast that other teams had there wouldn’t be no telling how successful the ducks could have been.
Absolutely agree
Quick correct to this 3 year old video, Kariya’s first return to Honda Centre was not Selanne’s retirement night. Shockingly he was not there, but it was later clarified that Kariya had already made plans and couldn’t attend. Of my knowledge: his first appearance was November 20, 2017 as the ducks had a hockey hall of fame night to commemorate Kariya and Selanne getting inducted into the Hall.
Fun fact about Nov 20-2017: During said celebration, owner of the ducks Henry Samueli hinted at Kariya’s jersey retirement by making an observation that “Selanne’s #8 looked lonely in the rafters”
If Paul can get his number retired after leaving, Sergai Fedderov desverves to get his number retired in Detroit #Retire91
He was a 99 in at least 1 of the old NHL games
Used to like watching small guys like him play in the NHL.
Yeah they had to make up for it with their skill!
Good job!
That hit was so dirty…

Oh for sure. I was going to do one on Fedor Fedorov first, though
I didn’t know he was gay. Not that it matters, he’s still one of my favourite players to watch when I was younger. I remember a Sunday dinner at my grandparents house with most of the family where we all watched the Canada game where he scored that goal. Great player and an excellent role mode. After that laser beam slap shot when he came back with a vengeance after that massive unnecessary hit from Stevens made me realize what an amazing player he was. I still get goosebumps when I watch that play in some compilation vids. My apologies for the lengthy comment you beautiful people. Have a great day all 👊🏽🤙🏽🖖🏽
That goal in game 6 of the finals was amazing. Pure adrenaline. It's just too bad he couldn't win the cup that year. Not sure about him being gay, I believe he's got wife and kids.
@@KetaProductions oh how embarrassing for me 🙈 I assumed when you said “significant other” and showed a clip of him and another man paddle boarding that it was his “other”. Omgoodness I am so ashamed. My deepest apologies
Oh haha. It's hard to see, but that other guy paddle boarding is actually Scott Niedermayer.
@@KetaProductions omg no way! That’s Scottie?!? Okay, now I’m even more ashamed than ever Lmaooo 🤦🏻♂️ Thanks bro-Keta. I really appreciate the reply and my correction. Oh and the assistance of putting my foot in my mouth too haha
Lol nah. I didn't recognize him at first either. Took me several looks, and I only know because i edited the video! You're good, mate.
Great player.... him and lindros head down to mich? If they didnt how bad would these to be?
Kariya is the steven young of hockey
The NHL hasn't learned sh!t form Kariya. STILL letting the knuckle heads of the league get away with abuse on star players. Could you actually imagine if player like him and other ultra talents were able to free wheel out on the ice. They might even see the game grow a bit, and the fan base start to get as bit younger.
