***This video was to show our family back home how needy and demanding a Berner can be! We did not think it would blow up like it did and start our CZcams career! Don’t worry he gets plenty of attention

It's not just dogs that do this. Animals like geese or ducks and otters are also very affectionate. And believe it or not, my cat is the exact same way, always cuddling and following me around. But this dog is definitely cute. I especially like that he doesn't bark.

I personally kinda confirm this now since recently my mom bought a cute little female Chihuahua. And lemme tell you, she is such an independent bitch. She may let me cuddle with her but there are times she just wants to be with her own self. Unlike these big doggos who always crave affection from their moms and dads, our chihuahua tends to be a loner sometimes.

It depends on the origin of the Bernese. If they come from Western Europe, most of them have genetic problems that lead to serious diseases. Bernese of Eastern European origin (with the exception of Poland, Hungary), generally do not suffer from these problems (Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania).
I have Bernese (always females) for many years and they have lived peacefully up to 12 years and a little more, only one with great sorrow left at the age of seven years due to an error of veterinary diagnosis. Currently one of 14 months old. All are of Russian or Ukrainian origin.
I do not know what happens with Bernese of American origin, and if they suffer from the same genetic problems.
In any case, it is a lovely breed.

I do not know how I could help you, we would have to see the possibility of contacting us, and then put you in direct contact with a Bernese breeder.

My parents have a cat that will stare directly at me THROUGH a mirror I've never seen a cat before that's smart enough to figure that one out and it can be pretty intimidating since she stares right into your soul lol

My boyfriend and I rescued our cat when he was a kitten from an active construction site. Someone dumped him as they were working on site. He is literally the sweetest cat, and so smart! He alerts us when our food is done. A few times we have had food in the oven without a timer, and each time he cried in the kitchen until we went to see what he was whining about, and he would just be staring at the oven. Sure enough each time it happened the food was perfectly done. It’s wild!

My Berger is 81/2 years old and weighs 124lbs. He still grabs my pjs and tugs me out of bed and knows he is a lapdog. Enjoy! They are the best dogs.

I miss my mountain dog. I grew up with Jake. He was my best friend through life and we literally went through everything together until he passed in 2017 at 14 years old. I miss you buddy. The only dog I know who purred when he was happy, lol

Due to the fact that this video has been getting a lot of recent activity... I would just like to say something
We are getting a lot of negative comments on me not cuddling with Benny when he wants or that I don’t like having a dog cause I won’t cuddle when he wants....
Like I’ve said before.. this video was just a fun video to show family back home what it’s like to have a Bernese mountain dog.. and how hard it is to get up when they lay on you.. at the time I didn’t know it would blow up and end up starting our CZcams career.
So I just want to say we do give him lots and lots of cuddles! If you’ve seen at least three of our videos you know!
So please everyone else stop acting like you know our life when you’ve only seen a few mins of it or also a planned out skit of a video.

My friend has one bernese that likes to push her head into every persons butt as soon as she sees someone along with 4 other dogs and i must say theyre the cuddliest cutest baby bears, if you dont cuddle them they paw your face

yeah dude i miss mine he was my bsf but when he would come "greet" you...just a brief I want to be pet visit he would ram the top of his head into your crotch....good tactics to get attention if u ask me but fr tho I miss him so much that why I watch these videos cuz this one acts just like mine....but she said hers (is a dude) and is 85 lbs and mine was over 150 so this ones a tiny man and mine was a tank

What a sweetheart he is. When I was a kid we had one that lived 2 blocks down and he would come up everyday to visit us. He was such a wonderful and gentle dog and he really loved kids and snow.

I had a beautiful berner for yrs. Gretchan was the best friend ever. She live for nine years which wasn't enough. They are so awesome, but do have very high rates of cancer. Make sure to go deal with a breeder who has excellent references!!
