I saw cech and van der sar and Reina the most and I’d say it was close between cech and van dee sar. But for me winning your team a ucl from saving the last pen and being so consistent van der sar for me but only by a tad!

I only saw cech, van der sar and pepe reina play, van der sar was the one who impressed me the most

@Dreamer24393 it's also a matter of preference, some years Seaman was better, some VDS.
Van der Sar just stands out here by the stats. I also found his game was excellent talking his players through the game, being calm and rarely blundering.
Also at Fulham for several years as a mid table team and still having so few goals conceeded that is impressive to me.

There seems to be a mistake in minute 3:52. How did Edwin van der Sar concede just 110 goals but have 132 cleansheets? Maybe you meant 210 goals 🤔? Cause it just doesn't add up. Or maybe the number of games played is wrong 🤔?
Nope, everything is alright. Because you can concede over 1 goal in a game but you can only keep 1 cleansheet in a game. Think about it with that information and You'll realize what i have witten has no flaws.
@@factualanimation your stat is wrong/ for example he played 132 games when he didnt concede a goal plus lets say he played 80 games when he conceded 110 goals, in your logic he played something like 210/230 games
@@thehonest14 No, you are not getting it. Let me give you an example.. Imagine a keeper plays 3 games, and the result are 2-0, 3-0 and 0-6 (Win 2, lose 1). In that example, that keeper will have played 3 games, kept 2 clean sheets and conceded 6 goals. It is possible to concede over 1 goal per game, but you cannot keep more than 1 cleansheet in a game. It is not GAMES CONCEEDED, it is GOALS CONCEEDED. In the Edwin van dar sar stats (and all the other keepers in the video for that matter), He played 313 PL games, in those games, 132 of them he did not concede a goal (he kept a clean sheet). That means that the 110 goals that he conceded were from the other 181 games. It is very simple and straight foward man, nothing complex about it, and there is no mistake there whatsoever. If in doubt, then check his profile in OFFICIAL premier league website.
@@factualanimation These stats on VAN DER SAR are wrong. It doesn't make sense. 313 matches played, with 132 clean sheets means that there were 181 games where he conceded a goal. That means that goal conceded should be a minimum of 181, as you cannot concede LESS than one goal a game without it being a clean sheet.
@@jubair92 The stats are right. He kept 132 clean sheets, and all the goals he conceeded were in the other 181 games. It is 181 GAMES conceded, not goals conceeded. You can conceed more than 1 goal per game, but you can only keep 1 cleensheet per game. let me give you an example. When a keeper plays 4 matches and keeps 3 clean sheets, can't he conceed 5 goals in the last game and have his stats as 4 games, 3 cleensheets and 5 goals conceeded? he absolutely can.
