    The BS6 Ford Endeavour 2.0 Diesel has been launched! Prices (all ex-showroom Delhi) are Rs 29.55 lakh for the 4x2 AT Titanium, Rs 31.55 lakh for the 4x2 AT Titanium+ and Rs 33.25 lakh for the 4x4 AT Titanium+. The new 170hp, 420Nm 2.0-litre diesel engine with the 10-speed auto replaces both the old BS4-compliant 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel engines; there is no manual gearbox on offer anymore. What do you think of the pricing? Comment below. #TeamAutocar

    Alright for everyone talking about this 2.0 engine will not pull weight to 3.2 predecessor you haven't done enough research or driven the vehicle. This engine is the same as the one available in Ford ranger raptor the performance vehicle designed by Ford in Australia. Specially designed engine and gearbox for raptor which was introduced in Ford Everest (Endeavour) in 2019. Yes, 2019. 2020 Ford Endeavour In India is 2019 Ford Everest in Australia. Its a proven performance engine and is the most popular variant here. Its a bi-turbo engine not a regular turbo engine. The power delivery of 3.2 engine - 143kW at 3000rpm and 470Nm at 1750-2500rpm running through a six-speed automatic gearbox. Power delivery of bi-turbo 2.0 engine 157kW at 3750rpm and 500Nm at 1750-2000rpm with Ford’s new 10-speed gearbox. The extra grunt comes courtesy of a sequential turbo system designed to ensure torque comes on early without letting the engine run out of puff at higher revs without becoming breathless. Also benefits fuel consumption with an official 7.4 L/100km rating. In every way the incoming engine is far superior than the 3.2. Test drive and compare with the old and you will thank me. This new version is beating the Toyota prado 2.8 all hands down ( highest seller in volume in Australia)

    @PrinoyPhalgunan Před 4 lety +2

    Find it funny when people say a little more power would be better. Yes, it would be better when you drive a 500bhp monster on a no speed limit highway every single day. Comparison is legit. But these SUV's will either be used as a daily driver or a highway cruiser. This Endy is an incredible highway mile muncher and with the new 10 speed gearbox, it'd only get better. Cruising at 120 with the rpm ticking in at barely 1500 rpm is no joke. Now in the city, these 170 horses are an overkill to be honest. Traffic jams, slow moving traffic, speed limits of 50kmph or less and what not. With this engine-gearbox combo, Ford has struck an immaculate combination that'll be efficient and silent most of the time. Paying over 40 lakhs and peace of mind is not only Toyota's forte, Endy is equally good or even better. So tell me, what's the whole point of demanding more when people behind their mind secretly wish for more mileage? 170 bhp and 420 nm of torque in a vehicle that weighs over 2 tonnes is more than adequate. People are never satisfied with the power 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Actually no need for bi turbo.
      India is extremely fuel efficiency conscious market.
      For India 170 bhp and 420 NM is enough.
      The 3.2 was way too pathetic when it comes to mileage and yet didn't provide more than 250 bhp like how VWs 3.0 diesels etc do.
      So that engine was a massive failure If U ask me. Its just good for towing..else its too thirsty and less power dense.

    If you know something about engines you won’t complain about the new 2.0 litres, yes the power is less but the weight is also less which means that the performance isn’t affected a lot as well as the torque is the same which means it will still pull nicely, lower capacity engine with high compression also put down power faster , do some research before complaining.

      If Ford did a fault its not with Endeavor, its with Figo, I mean I never thought Ford would go to such lengths to make a car cheap to buy.
      Foolish Ford needs to introduce more cars like a premium hatch to compete i20,Jazz,Baleno etc..
      These r the hottest segments.
      Endevavor ll always sell 1/4th of what Fortuner sells, dosent matter what engine, transmission, what power it makes. Toyota sells in that badge, not because it has that engine which frankly felt weak for a 2.8l diesel engine.
