But these SUV's will either be used as a daily driver or a highway cruiser. This Endy is an incredible highway mile muncher and with the new 10 speed gearbox, it'd only get better. Cruising at 120 with the rpm ticking in at barely 1500 rpm is no joke. Now in the city, these 170 horses are an overkill to be honest. With this engine-gearbox combo, Ford has struck an immaculate combination that'll be efficient and silent most of the time. Yes bro....they should bring bi-turbo 2.0 litre diesel engine to India as the same is available in FORD EVEREST globally which is nothing but ENDEAVOUR only.

Ford is introducing the 3.0 liter V6 from the Ford F-150 on the Endeavour/Everest in 2022. It will have 260 bhp and 600 NM of torque. Also, the will have a 2.3 Eco Boost 4 cylinder petrol/hybrid, good enough for 300+ BHP.
Ford is capable of making much better cars. They simply seem to be milking out whatever left from endeavour. Shows their seriousness towards Indian market.
Obviously it has to, it does not meet the BSVI norms, and just think yourself, when they can pull out 420Nm of torque from the 2L engine why would they go for 3.2L for 50Nm more?
If you know something about engines you won’t complain about the new 2.0 litres, yes the power is less but the weight is also less which means that the performance isn’t affected a lot as well as the torque is the same which means it will still pull nicely, lower capacity engine with high compression also put down power faster , do some research before complaining.
Very sad to see this downgrade engine for such a big and heavy suv. Ford should bring their bi-turbo 210 bhp engine to india that will the game changer. I am writing this because i am using 3.2 endeavour,i know the powertain and capabilities of the car. I am expecting 2 ltr bi-turbo engine. Very unfortunate. Come on Ford.
How much power it has doesnt mean how much fast they are, A vw tiguan with 140 bhp with DSG is much faster than harrier, compass, endeavor, fortuner , it depends on how the engine is tuned and what type of gearbox is used
@@NikhilGupta-wi4qv There is no norm in BS6 which bans the production of diesel engine with higher capacity than 2litre. For ex: Toyota Fortuner still uses 2.8litre turbo diesel engine after updating it to BS6 norms.

O come on now the fortuner will rule even better by marketing a big engine ...Ford sales team will have to strive hard & will fail to raise the sales figure.. I think ford should have come with BITURBO..Sad this is what you do to good product..
See this is India..regardless of engine size, shape, power, Indians will alway prefer a Toyota over a Ford. If Ford did a fault its not with Endeavor, its with Figo, I mean I never thought Ford would go to such lengths to make a car cheap to buy. Foolish Ford needs to introduce more cars like a premium hatch to compete i20,Jazz,Baleno etc.. These r the hottest segments. Endevavor ll always sell 1/4th of what Fortuner sells, dosent matter what engine, transmission, what power it makes. Toyota sells in that badge, not because it has that engine which frankly felt weak for a 2.8l diesel engine.
Ford has far more sensors and automatic features than the fortuner no doubt it's good car but that doesn't mean it's better than endeavour ,endeavour has far better feature than fortuner thou I would say we can't compare they are best at their own level
@@1989rs500 Other than the moniker of 'reliability', Toyota in India is basically a pile of trash. Look at the engines and the dashboards of vehicles like Corolla, Camry, and Fortuner. Gravitas will be much better value than endeavour now with great features, equivalent dynamics and handling due to landrover platform, also it's lower in weight, and will have lots of features as well and the 2.0 multijet is a proven unit and even the torque converter automatic is proven all this at a cheaper price than endeavour
Bigger engine simply means a bigger heart for the car and more capabilities. But ford has removed the charm from endeavour. ... But still..... "CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT "
How much engine power car has it doesn't matter, how the power is delivered to the wheels from the engine via automatic transmission matters . 3.2 200 bhp ford endavour and toyoa fortuner are very slow compared to a 140bhp VW TIGUAN( DSG ) on real world performance . So, the new 10 speed automatic, with 170bhp engine and fuel efficacy of 14 kmpl is a very good offering . the old 3.2 fuel efficiency is very low
I suppose the costing did not allow ford to go for the 2lt bi-turbo. But the 10 speed gearbox is a welcome step. & as far as power figures are concerned, there’s nothing that a remap can’t fix. 👍🏻
Come on guys 170 bhp is just not enough for someone who has driven the 3.2 with 200 hp. Endeavour is a heavy car.Hope the 10 speed auto box makes up for the power deficit.Although I know 30 bhp is too much of a difference.Endeavour deserves the 2.0 biturbo for replacing the 3.2

2.0L and 170bhp that's means again its same Fait engine which comes in many SUV's like jeep compass, tata harrier, MG hector etc.
Tata harrier 2.0 170 hp
Jeep compass 2.0 170 hp
Tough competition for ford ?
How much power it has doesnt mean how much fast they are, A vw tiguan with 140 bhp with DSG is much faster than harrier, compass, endeavor, fortuner , it depends on how the engine is tuned and what type of gearbox is used
@@myt3734 You're right... Not many understand this... Paper specs won't give full picture
Can anybody tell me why did Ford decide to discontinue the 3.2L engine and reduce the hP and is it any better than the previous one?
Old one is better 3.2L 5 cyld
As the bs6 norms have banned the production of diesel suvs with more then 2.0 litre engine.
@@NikhilGupta-wi4qv There is no norm in BS6 which bans the production of diesel engine with higher capacity than 2litre. For ex: Toyota Fortuner still uses 2.8litre turbo diesel engine after updating it to BS6 norms.
@@NikhilGupta-wi4qv wrong, there is nothing to do with larger engine size it's just cost cutting measure as they have install new DPF equipments that why they didn't give bi turbo but a single one otherwise TATA 3L pushrod engine would have been discontinued but they still are selling it on Xenon
@@saurabhkaushik529 hey which one is better? Ford endy or fortuner...pls help
Finally! Autocar first one to review this and I am the first one to comment 😁
Aashish Devgun may you also be the first one to buy it 😁
@@utkarsh7662 not the first one, I can wait 🤭
Ford should have given similar led projector lights and other features in freestyle and aspire.
Carnival or endeavor..which one is best according to u sir
O come on now the fortuner will rule even better by marketing a big engine ...Ford sales team will have to strive hard & will fail to raise the sales figure..
I think ford should have come with BITURBO..Sad this is what you do to good product..
Its now on par with the Fortuner though.170HP is good enough...3.2 had very poor mileage and was good only for the highways
Bro smaller engine reduces weight ,more power gives good exhalaring drive
Ford has far more sensors and automatic features than the fortuner no doubt it's good car but that doesn't mean it's better than endeavour ,endeavour has far better feature than fortuner thou I would say we can't compare they are best at their own level
@@1989rs500 Other than the moniker of 'reliability', Toyota in India is basically a pile of trash. Look at the engines and the dashboards of vehicles like Corolla, Camry, and Fortuner. They have no respect for India, as they consistently dump 10-15 year-old stuff as new. Toyota never gives Indians the latest innovations.
U can get this power in 15 lakh less in harrier...but i think 170bhp is good for endeavour and overpowered for harrier
So what, engine is not the only thing that Endy has, its way more than that
Gravitas will be much better value than endeavour now with great features, equivalent dynamics and handling due to landrover platform, also it's lower in weight, and will have lots of features as well and the 2.0 multijet is a proven unit and even the torque converter automatic is proven all this at a cheaper price than endeavour
More power is always welcome. It gives a pleasure to the driver. Which is why we like German cars.
Huge difference in Torque and Harrier is just a 2wd car
When it’s gonna launch ? And is there a huge difference between 3.2 and this engine’s performance ?
Is itl still powerful than toyota fortuner ?
1:26 will it work with the previous model?
No
No
No buddy
No - they are saying only BS6 models will work with connectivity features.
Its An Amazing Performer..It Is Much More Practical than 3.2
Ford India is sold to Mahindra right? How will the after sales support be now?
My dream is to buy a ford endeavour I am a big fan of ford endeavour thank you very much for this review
Mahindra Scorpio, ford endeavour and Toyota FORTUNER are the best car for middle class people...I love 4wd but sadly bs6 Scorpio has no 4wd option 😥
10 speed gear box,???
Favorite car is being reviewed by my Favorite automobile journalist.👍🏻👌🏻
When is it going to be launched in India
Superb video...
Thank you autocar
It’s doing fare justice on the balance of power with 2L mates to 10 speed autogear
TEN SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding me?
😯😵
Bigger engine simply means a bigger heart for the car and more capabilities. But ford has removed the charm from endeavour. ...
But still.....
"CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT "
I already booked this car, ford is always better
Kishore - any idea about the prices? They haven't disclosed it yet I believe?
170-ish BHP in both the fortuner and endeavour. People looking for that extra power will be pushed towards the MG Gloster.
Finally race win for Toyota fortuner real king
Is this 2.0l L engine underpowered?
I suppose the costing did not allow ford to go for the 2lt bi-turbo. But the 10 speed gearbox is a welcome step. & as far as power figures are concerned, there’s nothing that a remap can’t fix. 👍🏻
Finally endeviour better isolation , smooth liner, & its like petrol drive, slightly need to more work on body controll due to cornering
Parallel parking is it available ?
Please Review ECOSPORT BS6 Automatic
Come on guys 170 bhp is just not enough for someone who has driven the 3.2 with 200 hp. Endeavour is a heavy car.Hope the 10 speed auto box makes up for the power deficit.Although I know 30 bhp is too much of a difference.Endeavour deserves the 2.0 biturbo for replacing the 3.2
Cabin is small. With small engine ford should have extended the cabin space. No need big bonnet for small engine.
Good point.
Ford should bring in more suvs between the ecosport and endeavour...
🙂
mahindra k sath cotract to hua he 500 ki parts sharing k liye but abhi tk to koi news ni ayee
