Okay, got that fixed. Now all we need to do is track down the guy who invented that feature and wire up his car so every time he tries to shift into third gear it goes into reverse.

We normally add tools in the description. However, the pick was only really used as a pointer. No tools needed other than a way to get under the vehicle!
When installing the CAGS eliminator cable, does the tranny still have a lock-out of the “Reverse” gear while travelling forward shifting into 5th or downshifting from 6th gear? Thx
Should not affect reverse lockout.

Do a Detail Video on Paint Decon (1) then another video Clay Bar treatment to your C5 (2) the car. After those, you can apply a Ceramic Coating one that you can buy or even Ceramic Spray Was treatments (3). There are 3 easy Videos for you 🤔. I have been wanting to start a CZcams Channel for CorvetteSuperCars to build the community but my edit skills are 0! But people tell me just to start and learn along the way. Another Video idea 💡 would be applying an Epoxy Coating to your garage floor. I have been wanting to do one myself.
New house has epoxy. I would highly recommend it! I am not much of a detailer to be honest.
Does this throw any codes when done. My 96 lt1 SS has almost got me killed about 6 times because it decides merging I need to shift into 4th gear haha.

What could be wrong? Transmission has like 1500 miles on it brand new
Did you have a shift kit installed? Fluid level ok? If neither of those are the issue, I’d bring it back to where you got the transmission done.
Thats really cool. Except you didn’t explain if it was the front plug or the back plug. Litterally the only thing we need to know.
If you can’t figure out where that plug is, you probably should not work on a car.

Find that orange sticker/fill plug. It’s just above that.

I've owned my C5 for several months now and never, ever, ever had a reason to go from 1st to 4th. Why in the h*** would that be a thing?

On my 11 gs I didn't need to zip tie I was able to tuck it away, should tjat be fine?
I always secure wiring just to be safe.
