    Vaughan, absolutely love your videos.
    The Jayco community would be so much poorer without you.
    Thank you so much for all your hard work.

      Hi Paul, it sounds pretty busy 😂 We are probably going to throw in a 4 week trip to Cairns in July as well just to keep me on my toes 😆🤣

      I've got a big Easter weekend coming up getting a few guides done while we are home. With the key alike situation, I think I have a really good solution. Fingers crossed that pans out.

    Would love to see what people are doing for dirty laundry and rubbish management in smaller vans/campers with limited space.

  • @PeninsulaDroneography2024

    Great to see you back online. Can highly recommend the On the Go RV Tunnel slide. I the DS570 added to our 2022 17.55.8 along with the half-high sides as well. The Baby Q sits on the front half of the tunnel slide and the lid and all the attachments plus other bits used while caravaning, ie tent pegs, cables, hose bits etc etc are stored under the lid in the half-high side.

      I honestly don't know where the last few months have gone Gary!! I definitely need to order our DS320 slide and get it installed as we are probably going away for a week after Easter. It's soo annoying trying to reach into ours.

      @@WorkLivePlay I am also looking at adding the DS320 with the high sides, if nothing else, it keeps everything in one place and neat and tidy. Looking forward to doing our first off-grid weekend 31Mar - 4 days with some friends - very keen to see how our 17.55.8 goes relying on Mother Nature to keep us going. Have a great week away and look forward to seeing your next video.

    As an older couple we need help pushing up the beds in our Jayco lark, to slip in the stays. Is there a kind of ‘Jack’ that would save us. Please help. Love your videos. Thank you so much.

    Thanks for the update!..
    I have used a few of your videos to modify and improve our 2012 Jayco Swan Outback. THANK YOU
    I tow our 2012 Swan Outback with our 2016 Pajero and I do find the weight specs confusing PLEASE create your video on this issue ASAP.
    ANY more videos that you do for the Jayco Swan Outback would be appreciated!
    I am struggling to find a decent and aesthetically looking way to repair the fly screen windows around the Swan... to date no videos found?
    Keep up the good work... Stay safe

      Hi Steve, I think the weight video will be very valuable. Bringing in the experts will also allow them to run through common issues they see and options to rectify them. Regarding fly screens, I know some do suggest using a soldering iron can work, however that's mainly around the seems. For rips in the middle of the screens, I personally would have new sections installed by a canvas repairer, however let me look into this and see what I can come up with as far as DIY goes. I really need a spare older camper I can experiment on!

      That's certainly a needed video series. I must admit I haven't looked at ours for a while. It may need some work, so we will see. Otherwise if I get a project we will fully run over the lifting system given it will be an unknown for us.

    You could almost rename this video to be "Things that Jayco should have fixed 15 years ago". I'm still shocked how 'standard' some of these modifications have become in the community - their incredible value should be enough of a reason for them to add at the factory.

    • @WorkLivePlay
      @WorkLivePlay  Před rokem

      I completely agree. I know Jayco are aware of most of these. Maybe one day they will offer some as options or upgrades?

      Think the Jayco's are do it yourself puzzle kit for family fun putting together. Meccano & Lego when young, and Jayco puzzle kits when older.

    I would love to see how to wire up additional 12v and usb ports in your swan. I have a penguin so it will roughly be the same. I only have two 12v sockets coming from the same corner, one for the lights and the other is for the tv as it’s next to the aerial socket. If you’ve already done this, could you please just do a run through on video so it give me an idea on the right way to try it myself. Thanks!
    I’m saving up for the fridge fans!

    • @WorkLivePlay
      @WorkLivePlay  Před rokem +1

      Great idea, that's something that's fairly easy to do and I should add that to the list under 12v mods. I managed to short circuit in the Journey by replacing the reading lamps with the USB ones. In the camper it's always handy to have some scattered about. Leave it with me 👍

    I would like to see on the Jayco camper without A/C, standard vent swap to a Dometic Fan-Tastic vent

    • @WorkLivePlay
      @WorkLivePlay  Před rokem

      Hi Panos, actually that's a great little project. I will add that to the list and might even do this to our current Swan as I was looking at the vent cover the other day and noted its a bit average looking. We will also touch on how you might power that up, so leave that with me!

    You mention Jayco eagle doors have you ever had any problems with the metal bit on the inside of the door which you connect the bottom half of the door/latch to? Somehow ours has become bench and basically detached the screws from the top half of the door

    I’m just about to start a swan roof rebuild can’t wait it’s been a long time coming waiting for insurance tell me they won’t cover my damage “because I’m honest and have water damage which isn’t covered under storm damage” and Jayco telling me it can’t be done because I need to press it together and blah blah.
    If your keen I might need a hand😂😂

    I did see on Trip in a Van recently about a company called 1 key caravan who can help in getting keyed alike locks sorted for most vans. Might be worth reaching out to them ?

    • @WorkLivePlay
      @WorkLivePlay  Před rokem

      Fantastic, Thanks Ben - I will certainly be look into 1 Key Caravan and see what they might offer. I'm certain there's a solution. Out Black Series had 6 hatch doors which were all keyed alike - I just don't see why Jayco can't do the same lol!!

    • @WorkLivePlay
      @WorkLivePlay  Před rokem

      Actually, I just noticed they are local to us being in Nelson Bay - so I will certainly be getting in contact with them to see what options they have for the Jayco range. I really, appreciate that lead, thank you.

      @@WorkLivePlay no worries, happy to help, I’m really keen to see some of your projects come together over the next year or so, my family is currently in a soft floor camper, but I grew up camping in a Jayco hawk and I’d really like to get my own family into a Jayco camper, but probably on that lower end of the budget, so I’ll be very interested to see how your budget project camper goes.
