    Thanks for the info in these great woods. Would love to have some on the Dutch market, but not for sale here.
    And about impossible woods to bend, try real Snakewood from Surinam. (Piratinera Guianensis Brosimum)
    I once used it for a binding, it bends as glas . . . . . not. But soooo beautiful.

    That is an amazing selection of timbers, incredible grain and colours. Are there grades for this stuff? I have seen guitar manufacturers state, for example, AA grade.

      Luke Smith they sure do but it can be rather subjective from our experience. For instance most of the Blackwood we keep for our guitars is really figured and therefore given the standards that others apply; this could be considered AAA, AAAA and we even have sets that we define as Master grade. Some of the timbers we stock are not used by mainstream guitar makers simply because they are hard to source and supply is limited. The tone part will always be subjective but we feel the timbers we source and keep in reserve make great guitars and the figure of these timbers as you have seen can be mind blowing to say the least!

    ok the wood you called tiger myrtle is sassafras and the timber you called sassafras was myrtle im sure you know that but just got it back wards well i hope so
