Oh, Kevin, I think this is getting intense, HATRICK PDF Tutorials in a row: ) I am just obsessed now! Hats of as always!
These animations and visuals are just becoming next level! Seriously so impressed. Great vid as always Kevin :)
Ha, thanks Tyler! I've been spending my nights binge watching Casey Faris CZcams videos czcams.com/users/CaseyFaris777 He's quickly become one of my favorites. He has some epic tutorials on using DaVinci Resolve and the Fusion page for compositing.
@@KevinStratvert Just checked out his channel. His content is really good. I am going to keep watching his vids. Thanks for the suggestion Kevin! :)
@@TylerStanczak Of course! What video editor are you using these days? If you haven't switched to DaVinci Resolve, it's worth a look 👍
@@KevinStratvert I use Adobe premiere pro now and just taught myself how to use it so trying to master it, but now I am like hmmm do I teach myself DaVinci Resolve now😂
Thanks Kevin. Just what I was looking for. I guess I could import financial statements which are in a pdf as well. Good job.
Thanks a bunch. You are a great teacher. Take respect.
Thanks Kevin for this amazing video!!!!
This was amazing TY! The pdf I'm working with has paragraph sections for example 1.1 text, 1.2 text, 1.3 text etc that I need to put into a table. This is going to be labor intensive. Your video is brilliant!
Thank you so much, sir. May Allah bless you and your family with all the happiness in the world and hereafter.
Kevin , I truly enjoyed video making myself....tried and followed your video editor tutorial video...
Many many thanks Kevin
This was such a useful video and it was a function i wanted to learn and you made a video on it. Thanks for sharing such useful information with us.
What a hilarious method Mr. Kevin.
Thank you from my heart
Excellent job Kevin. It might be handy to show how the corded for a cookie converts into an invoice and send it back to the customer. Putting invoice into another folder in the process.
Thank you for explaining what the Cancel button does! That was super helpful!
Real cool and awesome to learn great discovery from Mr.Humble Kevin as our online coach in all fields of computer new technics update..Thanks a lot Kevin..
Clear & easy to understand.
Awesome Kevin!!!
I want to see more Power Query Tutorials.
The more I watch your vídeos, the more I know that I know nothing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Really great.
Hi Kevin, great video thanks. Quick question, the pdf I deal with have some formatting ie: highlighted cells. Is there a way to get those formatting can be transferred to the excel spreadsheet? Thank you
That's amazing! Thanks Kevin :)
Lots of work put off! Weeks, perhaps months of work just in flashes! Lovely vid: )
Very useful, thank you so much!
This was extremely helpful thank you so much for uploading! Subscribed :D!
Thanks for the tutorial. I had to install Office 356 to get more of these options. On my excel sheet - 1. I do not get the Get Data from file - PDF option. 2. The from folder option to a point of Combine and Load says - “We do not recognise the format of your first file. Please filter the list of files so it contains only supported types (Text, CSV, Excel workbooks, etc.) and try again.
Fantastic! Thank you so much!
Kevin man. Thank you for these videos
You are sharing really cool windows tips and tricks 😎
Great Information! I transfer information from a PDF to excel all the time. I also import tables from Word to Excel.
Wow! Really like the intro! The music together with the CGI gives a very nice early 90s aesthetic! I'll unpause now to watch the rest of the video. :)
Hi Kevin - You videos are very professional. Can you let me know what tool(s) you use to create your content? Thanks!
Great! Very didactic as usual! Keep going!
Very helpful Kevin Stratvert
I am from Brazil and I love your channel
Exactly what I needed, thanks a ton

Thank you for all your videos..
I learn a lot, i love all your videos. keep it up and more :)
Thanks a ton. I was searching for this..
That was a excellent video I learned a lot help me on my business plan
Great video. Thank You Kevin. I have a question: How can I convert only selected tables (identical structures) from a single PDF document with multiple tables?
Outstanding!!
Your videos are stellar.
Thank you...I've learned alot.✌
Thanks! Very nice!
Nice job, Kevin. How would you import a multipage PDF (e.g. 2 pages) with column labels only on the first page - I know, poor PDF design?
Great video and tutorial Kevin. I've just been introduced to this pdf to excel feature and want to use it to grab my monthly bank statements and insert into excel. However, my pdfs usually consist of two pages and 3 or 4 tables. The first one is irrelevant as it consists of my account, name, balances and various notes and comments. The actual data I want is in the other ones. Could you do a demo on how to do something like that?
The idea of automatically adding a new month's worth of data is very exciting.
Thanks
Great information as always. My question is If I want to import data from the original PDFs would the excel file be okay without any original to update from?
This is insane, love it🎉
Nice effort. May God Bless you
Great. Thank you so much
Thank you very much!
excelent video. I'm having trouble with configuring the import of data because my pdfs have many pages. How do I format the transform to include all the pages in each original pdf?
This is awesome !!!
thanks kevin
I've just followed your channel, big thanksss to you!!! it's really helpful @_@
Excellent Work n video!!! Learn lot from it. Is there any pdf add-in fro office 2019 stand alone instalation? I dont see that import from pdf option in get data button
Grate tutorial again 👍👍
Would you be able to create a Video about the new view functionality in Excel when collaborating on an excel file and users are using filters on the same sheet.
Looking forward to seeing more from you 👍👍
Awesome!
Thank you so much! very helpful. What do I do if the data is in one PDF but on different pages? ^^
Really good stuff here.
Thanks a lots to handle PDF format to excel without using any conversation tools 👍
Thank you, Sir😘
HI Kevin thanks so much! Is there an easy way to work with this method for bank statements? Thanks
Thank you!!!
Nice Kevin...
Hi Keven, fantastic and very help full, is there a way to do this with multiple Tables in a PDF I have around 100 PDFs with up to 400 tables
Hi Kevin, how to figure out which function to use? You used Record.Field. I wanted to understand the logic rather than just cramming it. Thank you in advance for answering my question.
Hi Kevin, can you do a video on Visual Studio and discuss (with Tutorials) on C, C++, C# and Visual Basic (especially from a Windows Office view - where it can sill be used)
This video is great Kevin. Thank you so much. It will help me with my project big time! But now I want a cookie and I don't have one.....oh man!
Excellent tutorial ! What if there’s a line that’s added or extracted in every file ?
Like it!
Happened to find an easier way to get file names from a folder (better than cmd) by doing "Load data from folder". haha Great! Thank you!
Hi Thank you for this amazing tutorial. I have one more question I would like to integrate SAGE INTACCT and Dynamics to exchange data on customer through the webservices account. Or any other way as long the two platform will communicate.
It is a good video if you have perfectly structured PDF's, but what is still missing or would be amazing that you can convert -image PDF's- to Excel, or scanned files to Excel...I have been using Power BI and some other convertors but no possibility.
Thank you 👏👏👏
You're welcome 😊
Hello Kevin, in your video about importing PDF files, what version of Excel are you using?
Kevin, can you tell us how to add multiple tables? This only shows one table. Most of my files have more than one table. In the bank statements, I also see pages with tables in them, but they are not listed as a table. You can't choose which items you want to load when loading a folder only a single pdf, is there any way around this?
Thank you
EXCELLENT
There should be a love button. I have been looking for two days for a video to explain this. The old Adobe system looked much easier than this newer one. Then I went to flow or whatever it is called now but didn't want to spend money on a system I didn't know would work and then the 3rd party apps started coming into play. UGH. This bypassed all of that. Thank you!
Thanks for the informative video. Need more tips and help on the Power Query. Changing column widths and data type (you showed the detech function but how to tell the column should be $$) Thanks you!
Great👍
Darn it. I have been trying to do this with the project I’m working on. The data is in multiple tables. Each pdf has 7 tables with different kind of data related to the product. Can’t get it to work. Perhaps you could in a future video make an example with importing that many tables into Excel. Thanks
I had the same challenge. However, I did discover the append option in the ribbon. Kinda messy, but it did work.
This is great. Does it work for Scanned PDFs too or just electronic ones.
Kevin is it available only in MS office 365? I cant find the "Get & Transform...", is there any ribbon that I needed to add on?
I really enjoyed your informative video! You might want to consider using the VeryPDF PDF to Excel Converter. This Windows software automatically converts PDF files into Excel spreadsheets and can even combine multiple PDF files into one while preserving formatting.
Kevin, This video was perfect and very helpful. But I can’t get the last part to work. When I add new PDFs it will not pick them up. Help! Thanks.
I think the time is different today in Seattle when it is uploaded in 00:00 am and that time is equal to 1:30 pm in India but today 00:00 am in Seattle = 12:30 pm
Hello Kevin,Can you please explain how to open .mso in xl
Thanks for the great video. I seem to be struggling with the same issue that many other users have made a comment on.
This method only seems to work if all tables on each pdf is only in the 1st page.
Any thoughts on how to combine all tables from each pdf that might be longer than a page?
Superb
Hi Kevin, This is great, in my PDFs there are rows not in every single PDF, for example particular item is not sold on every invoice, when it's missing, I get error column not found. how to handle that type or error?
Great video, doc! What about if the PDF files have each a password?
hello Kevin,
as i wanted to add a column, i couln´t see the formula record.field (the formula seems to be hidden, it would be visible if i select it and i didnt get the dropdown list either. how can i get it visible without selecting it?
Great
Great video Kevin. But why can't I see the "From Pdf" option from the get data option and then when I click from file the from pdf option is not visible.
same here. could we use another option instead?
Same here
That is because your Excel version is older than 2016
@@diwakarbansal4077 Now I am having Microsoft 365 and i can see the option now
Hi Kevin, wow that was so helpful! What if my multiple pdf files have different tables on different sheets that I need. How do I select those. They have the same table layout but 1 pdf might have a table on 2 different pages and another pdf might just have 1 table that I need. Do you perhaps have a video on that?
I have the same question, query shows only one page
Is there a way to do it the other way around? Putting data from Excel to a PDF?
Super video! I applauded for $10.00 👏👏👏
Thanks so much Gumsoon! Much appreciated! 🙏
