I enjoyed your tutorial but kept getting errors working with your practice sheet. Then I would get lost because my info didn't match your. I figured out that your dates are formatted for the UK. I felt pretty good that I was able to troubleshoot it and make it work. Now I'm going to go through the tutorial again and see if it works better. I expect my pivot table will still look a little different but I should at least get the technique. Thank you.

If you don't have the addin Querystorm, you're missing one of the easiest ways of using Excel as a Database. You can write SQL scripts directly against Tables in your Workbooks and sheets and even use Excel function in the SQL query and view the results. You can add the results to your worksheet with 1 button click. You don't even need to establish a connection to the tables already in your workbook as that is done automatically when you use the addin. ALL your tables are now database tables and you can use the power of SQL (SQLite impementation) on your Tables.

Question about the _Unpivot Columns_ section. When I select columns to unpivot, Power Query parses this as an _UnpivotOtherColumns()_ method call specifying the complement to the set of columns I selected. So, if I've got `column1`, `column2`, and `column3`, and select `column2` and click "Unpivot Columns", Power Query just writes this as `Table.UnpivotOtherColumns(#"Changed Type", {"column1", "column3"}, "Attribute", "Value")`. Adding another column to my table results in Power Query naturally including it in the column set to be unpivoted. So it seems Power Query is smart enough to manage this.
I noticed this in your video and figured I just wasn't getting it. I thought I'd point it out, and maybe I'm still not getting something.
    Thanks for the video!

Even after changing source, it refused to look in the new location (error said not in downloads, but the formula bar clearly had desktop listed). Took me awhile to find it was the 'sample file' that also needed to be changed.

I really enjoyed and find your videos very helpful in my data work. If I have dataset with different variations of gender pronouns like below:
    he,him,his
    He / Him / His
    HE, HIM, HIS
    he him his
    he/ him/his
    he/him/his
    he, him, his
    HE/HIMHIS
How can I go about standardizing the above to "He/him/his" using Power Query? Thank you.

Amazing video, thank you. There are a lot of tutorials on pulling source data from a folder to append new information to an existing query. What i need to understand is how to create a query on a specific source and how to apply it if that source document is replaced (with same name) OR applying the same query to a new source (with similar if not exact headings). I export a CSV regularly that needs to be cleaned in the same way each time. I dont want to ADD this data to the existing query, i want to basically reapply it. I've tried simply pointing the query to a new source, but i get a lot of errors when i do that and haven't been successful. Do you have a video on how this might work? (Also what to do if my export doesn't have 100% identical column names?)

What is the best way to update the records in the source table/sheet form the Power Query ( like, adding records, deleting a record, editing,.....). Can we make a column properties ( one or more columns) a Hyperlink that be clicking it, a custom data entry form be opened to add, deleted or update the record/s in the source tables?

When I select my column in Power Query, I'm unable to see Column Profiling. Can you tell how I can see this? I have Excel 2016 version. Moreover, when I transform and Load the first table you showed in this course to current worksheet it is not loading, saying that "The selected range is in different workbook. Please select a range in the current workbook". Kindly guide me!

Consolidating data? What if some of those multitude of data's that comes are of the confidential type I'm not referring always to business model but in other applications of such, can those data collected when expecting some confidentiality be cloaked in data codes which appears like ordinary data but with some sequence unnoticed alteration? Y'know the moles. Like James Bond 007 on the works.
