Can you please and my two questions? 1. Are the in-game prompts of PlayStation type or Xbox type? 2. We can manually change the controller mode in the software. But do we have to change it in-game also? I mean, if we have a bow and arrow and then a gun, do we have to change between resistance and vibration manually? Isn't there a type of patch file for games which will let the software do it as and when required in the game?

Awesome review, love your presentation & format - not only that, but this is exactly the info I was looking for - so thank you! I used to use a DS4 and DS4Windows, then I recently got a DualSense and had been running it with DualSenseX. I really thought I must have been missing something as I couldn't find any button remapping. This answered all of my questions, so it looks like I'll go back to DS4Windows but add the detailed adaptive trigger functionality that DualSenseX offers. I didn't notice this in your DS4Windows review but I found that DS4Windows offers a pretty versatile implementation of the adaptive triggers, which incorporates kind of a "two stage" trigger (Axis Config > L2 & R2 > Two Stage Mode). Setting to "Normal" adds that extra "step" of resistance and you can choose a "Full Pull Button" so that when you "break" past the end of the first stage, it will do the button press. I haven't played with it much but I hope others might find this useful.

u the only one having a video in english on this. wanted to see what the whole deal with it was before buying a dualsense. now i know thanks to you my man, thank you, gonna play all my games with adaptive shooting triggers now
The only thing the app is missing is the ability to use the touch pad as pause/select buttons. That's a cool feature especially since the controller buttons for those are so small.
@@flbl5968 That only works if the game supports the DS, not Xinput. DSX is a lackluster, DS4Windows is way better except for the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Been using xbox 360 controller for many years today i bought a ps5 controller I really like the feel and the haptic vibration triggers, freaking sony should support windows properly.

What blows my mind is that this is set-up runs better on the Xbox app than the Xbox controller. I had to buy a Bluetooth adapter just to use a Xbox controller including my turtle beach headphones. Even then it was buggy. I had no issue connecting the dual sense through Bluetooth and it worked perfectly.

Steam version is already better than the free download because the options trackpad option actually works and turns off the mouse immulation. And way more options and easy interface was worth the 3 bucks also dualsense at says dsx is open now unlike with free version
@@Joshda039 it's good you have a bunch of different options you can choose from like a machine gun or just regular trigger stops you can also customize it. You can always just get the free version to try and if you like it jus pay $3 bucks for it updated which is worth it to me

no you have to go on your ps5 to map your buttons then go back on PC with the dsx app but you have to keep the dsx app running‼️‼️‼️ I promise you it worked for me but you have to keep the dsx app running in the background

Man, you really have a very nice attitude, I really like it. :=) Also, this video is very useful, because I'm thinking about with one use, and actually I'm noticing that if I'm not going to play something that takes advantage of Dual Sense's specific features (like its special kind of vibration), it is maybe not too worth it to pay for it.

Hello, i really like the way u explain things so clearly. I have a question. Do u think PS5 controller will b good option for pc gaming? I play mostly competitive games like COD and PES , so if I buy the PS5 controller will it be fully compatible with them as well as other games like gta , rdr . Have you experienced any issues like input delay and Bluetooth disconnections with this Controller?
Hey GodFather so sorry about the super late reply (loved the Godfather movies btw, so iconic). The PS5 controller is a great option for PC Gaming and it is fully compatible with pretty much all PC games, especially the most popular ones like the ones you mentioned. I've never experienced any input delay or bluetooth disconnections BUT I must say that that doesn't mean you won't either. I don't know what kind of PC you have. Your PC capabilities and settings will play a great role in your experience using the PS5 controller on PC but I would say that if you have a pretty upper tier PC then you should be fine like me. From my experience an Xbox controller is always better with PC as it natively has much better integration and basically every game supports it out of the box. Having to use a USB cable to get certain features out of the DS5 sounds annoying.
if you play competitive fps games you want a playstation controller which supports overclocking to lower input latency- xbox controllers are locked and dont allow you to overclock to lower input latency. night and day difference going from an xbox controller to an overclocked playstation controller, good luck.

whenever i go into the test game when i step infront of the box the triggers dont switch, they just stay as what i have them set too in dsx. how do i fix that?
Does the trigger change according to the physical sensations of the game? For example, changing a gun's trigger style will change it yourself, or riding a car can be done like when playing with the PS5 or not, or do we have to change it ourselves in the program every time?
Great! Does the DualsenseX also support macros and trigger shortcuts to open apps and scripts, like the DS4Windows does? Mouse emulation and gyro in wireless aswell?

Gave it a try. It doesn't even scale the sticks properly so it is an instant fail. My DualSense sticks work perfectly fine in DS4Windows. Also input delay is very bad. DualSenseX might be useful for testing different modes for the adaptive triggers but that's about it.
I also tried it today, the delay makes forza horizon 5 not playable not only the delay sometimes to need to re-hit the gas button because it stop sometimes. so ds4windows doesnt have this problems ?

Almost the start of 2024 and no update for DualSenseX, but this video of yours really sells both that and DS4 as a package even today. Kudos man, thank you! Edit: Just realized DSX is on Steam and has a DLC!! I'm curious to know if you've done an updated video including it?
As an update note they have moved to steam. Don't pay for it on their own website because steam has the updates and paywall of $5. This is only an issue if you purchase it somewhere else first.

hey bro, is there any way to remap a controller button to a keyboard key. For example, my mic button (as it has no real function when using a headset mic) I would like to remap it to the "Z" key so I can use it as a "push to talk" button for when I'm on COD. Thanks in advance!!

Cool app, but kinda luxury. Mostly care for the compatibility, and battery (which i do believe it has, seeing from steam, updated to). Does this work with PS4 to? Please say it does xD. So this app emulate the xinput from 360 right? So if one game use vibration normal vobration it works in this ps5 controller ? That is my question because i read a lot of isues with the rumble vibration compatibility and the 360 software is the more compatible with all games
Great question Razgriz! Yea so 360 software is compatible with all PC games but dualsense is not which means that using the dualsense on PC is very shotty. You're gonna find a lot of games on the PC market that don't support dualsense which means that you will rarely get to effectively and comfortably use the dualsenseX and adaptive triggers but if you can find the right games (like COD Warzone) then you should have some fun even though some of these games might still be buggy because dualsense is just not that compatible on PC. A little bit confused but is there a way to turn on haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for any game that doesn't support it? If so what are the correct settings? As the trigger stuff feels off when playing in a game that doesn't have official haptic feedback support and all that.
Great video. I’m having an issue when playing Warzone 2/DMZ, any time I open my map (touch pad) it fires the gun. Tried remapping the button but doesn’t make a difference. Anyone else experiencing the same? I’m looking for a fix.

Cant get my ps5 controller to connect to this software. I ran program, plugged in the controller and it never connected. If i try the DS4 Windows software it connects.. Can you help please ...trying to mod my led colors ..

Dualsense has already the haptic triggers with Bluetooth, only 3 sets but in future they will add more.

Steam isn't great for mapping. These emulator things tend to work with most games. Steam one not so much.

Hello, i really like the way u explain things so clearly. I have a question. Do u think PS5 controller will b good option for pc gaming? I play mostly competitive games like COD and PES , so if I buy the PS5 controller will it be fully compatible with them as well as other games like gta , rdr . Have you experienced any issues like input delay and Bluetooth disconnections with this Controller?
Hey GodFather so sorry about the super late reply (loved the Godfather movies btw, so iconic). The PS5 controller is a great option for PC Gaming and it is fully compatible with pretty much all PC games, especially the most popular ones like the ones you mentioned. I've never experienced any input delay or bluetooth disconnections BUT I must say that that doesn't mean you won't either. I don't know what kind of PC you have. Your PC capabilities and settings will play a great role in your experience using the PS5 controller on PC but I would say that if you have a pretty upper tier PC then you should be fine like me. From my experience an Xbox controller is always better with PC as it natively has much better integration and basically every game supports it out of the box. Having to use a USB cable to get certain features out of the DS5 sounds annoying.
if you play competitive fps games you want a playstation controller which supports overclocking to lower input latency- xbox controllers are locked and dont allow you to overclock to lower input latency. night and day difference going from an xbox controller to an overclocked playstation controller, good luck.

whenever i go into the test game when i step infront of the box the triggers dont switch, they just stay as what i have them set too in dsx. how do i fix that?
Does the trigger change according to the physical sensations of the game? For example, changing a gun's trigger style will change it yourself, or riding a car can be done like when playing with the PS5 or not, or do we have to change it ourselves in the program every time?
Great! Does the DualsenseX also support macros and trigger shortcuts to open apps and scripts, like the DS4Windows does? Mouse emulation and gyro in wireless aswell?

Gave it a try. It doesn't even scale the sticks properly so it is an instant fail. My DualSense sticks work perfectly fine in DS4Windows. Also input delay is very bad. DualSenseX might be useful for testing different modes for the adaptive triggers but that's about it.
I also tried it today, the delay makes forza horizon 5 not playable not only the delay sometimes to need to re-hit the gas button because it stop sometimes. so ds4windows doesnt have this problems ?

Almost the start of 2024 and no update for DualSenseX, but this video of yours really sells both that and DS4 as a package even today. Kudos man, thank you!
Edit: Just realized DSX is on Steam and has a DLC!! I'm curious to know if you've done an updated video including it?
As an update note they have moved to steam. Don't pay for it on their own website because steam has the updates and paywall of $5. This is only an issue if you purchase it somewhere else first.
Steam version, with future updates compared to this is way cleaner, its worth the money tbf! Dope video also!!

2. We can manually change the controller mode in the software. But do we have to change it in-game also? I mean, if we have a bow and arrow and then a gun, do we have to change between resistance and vibration manually? Isn't there a type of patch file for games which will let the software do it as and when required in the game?
hey bro, is there any way to remap a controller button to a keyboard key. For example, my mic button (as it has no real function when using a headset mic) I would like to remap it to the "Z" key so I can use it as a "push to talk" button for when I'm on COD. Thanks in advance!!

You could always use Steam to remap the buttons after having DualsenseX change it to a 360 controller.

Cool app, but kinda luxury. Mostly care for the compatibility, and battery (which i do believe it has, seeing from steam, updated to). Does this work with PS4 to? Please say it does xD. So this app emulate the xinput from 360 right? So if one game use vibration normal vobration it works in this ps5 controller ? That is my question because i read a lot of isues with the rumble vibration compatibility and the 360 software is the more compatible with all games
Great question Razgriz! Yea so 360 software is compatible with all PC games but dualsense is not which means that using the dualsense on PC is very shotty. You're gonna find a lot of games on the PC market that don't support dualsense which means that you will rarely get to effectively and comfortably use the dualsenseX and adaptive triggers but if you can find the right games (like COD Warzone) then you should have some fun even though some of these games might still be buggy because dualsense is just not that compatible on PC. A little bit confused but is there a way to turn on haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for any game that doesn't support it? If so what are the correct settings? As the trigger stuff feels off when playing in a game that doesn't have official haptic feedback support and all that.

Ds4 is generally better but Dualsense gives a little pizazz so you can use both at the same time to have a fuller gaming experience if you'd like
Great video. I’m having an issue when playing Warzone 2/DMZ, any time I open my map (touch pad) it fires the gun. Tried remapping the button but doesn’t make a difference. Anyone else experiencing the same? I’m looking for a fix.
Just downloaded the version for steam which uses its own interface for controllers. Seems to have fixed my issue.
