3:06 are we not going to talk about how this generic roman soldier not only climbed Kronos, but also somehow managed to reach the temple grounds? And it looked like he also died recently (his still had relatively normal eyes when that vulture plucked one out). He had the makings of the next hero of legend had he not died.

you havent played the game? there are many other warriors that have actually reached very deep inside the temple, in one of the doors you must use one of the warriors that was trapped as a sort of payment to open a door
There's a meta context too: that soldier's design was one of the first designs for Kratos before they moved away from having him wear full armor. It's why Kratos gives the soldier such a meaningful 'Hmmm, that could've been me' look when he climbs up.

The whole series did an amazing job with depicting some of the massive beings that Kratos fought and interacted with along the way. The size of Cronos, Jörmungandr introduction and the way it speaks, the way Hercules looks so tall and imposing right before they fight were so well done I can't think of any other way to do it.

The model for Jörmungandr is objectively larger than Cronos. Ragnarok and Hraesvelgr were also colossal, although I'm not sure how they compare to Cronos.

People arguing how it took how 3 days to climb the temple, where the narrator probably included that only for the more dramatic approach to the whole journey towards Pandora.
This was a different game in tone and approach of its plot than the sequels, a bit more mystical and more true to some of its original Greek mythology stories.

Clearly, Gaia is referring to the Temple here because of its massive and elaborate nature, not Cronos. Cronos couldn't give a fuck who went after Pandora's Box hence he responded to the horn. In fact, one may argue that Cronos (and the Titans, in general) has everything to gain by letting a warrior climb up the Temple in search of Pandora's box given that should said warrior acquire the power to kill a God, the Titans' ambition to see a world without the Gods may be realised.

Deimos was chained up and tortured by Thanatos but was still able to beat Kratos' face to a bloody mess (he let him do it but still it's an impressive feat). Hell you can even see him trying to crush Kratos but Kratos easily knocks his hand back.

I’m sittin here thinking “man after climbing for three days straight he might be a little bit hungry” and then the video ends with him just having a stare down with the vulture.
What I thought was really interesting was that they originally planned kratos to be running away from cronos as he “chases” you for a bit until eventually passing you where you would then enter the temple.
I say “chase” because really kratos was just in his path way. You would die if he trampled over you, so it was like a timed parkour section that definitely would’ve been really cool to see. Sad it couldn’t have made it in due to it being difficult with his size of a model and how different programming was back then
This will always be my favorite GOW game. The story and level design was phenomenal.

The actual meeting occurs in god of war 3 when kratos climbs on him again except this time he rips off his grandfathers fingernail, cuts his gut open, then stabs him in the forhead so that he could get the material needed for his half brother Hephaestus to make him a weapon.
However Hephaestus had realized already that in order to retrieve Pandoras box from the flame of Olympus, kratos would have to murder *Pandora
*((Hephaestus's daughter that he had created) kratos's niece)
So Hephaestus betrays kratos giving him a shock and kratos promptly Rams bro's gut into a spike with his dying words being of his precious daughter Pandora.
Who does end up dying for an empty box fyi.

(At this point I'm just recollecting all of kratos evil deeds towards his family and humanity lol feel free to add any I miss)

umm..... so i took a look at all this, because i wanted to know what actually happened:
1) cronos attacked kratos and wouldn't listen to his side of things.
2) hephastus betrayed kratos and tried to kill him.
3) Pandora did what she was literally made to do, KNOWING that that was her purpose.
4) Aphrodite was a slut (like, that was her literal mythical role) who wanted out of her marriage with hephastus because of his looks
5) athena wanted to be stabbed so she could later get kratos's power...... even though he refused to give it to her and instead stabbed himself
6) i'll give you hera, except that she wasn't his stepmom, they have no relationship at all, and if it's more original myth, she might have pulled the same trick as she did to hercules.
7) hercules, was, indeed, asking for it, even after kratos stated that he didn't want to fight him.
8) hermes attacked kratos first.
9) so did the ice titan.
10) icarus, a full grown man (if insane) was literally climbing on kratos until kratos snapped.
