@@unclsam6798 bro Volvo was bought by Geely around 4-5 years ago. It was completely re-introduced as a brand. If Volvo had this leadership earlier it never would've failed. Volvo is selling more cars in India than Jaguar Land Rover and Lexus and it is actually got BMW and Audi worried. 5000 luxury cars sold are no joke and that too in India.

BMW X1 u need to press unlock button in key to enter car. This is good feature as completely handsfree entry in cars is unsafe due relay attack because of which car can be unlocked by anyone by adding repeater in between car and key even if key is kept at home.

Bought the X1 in Jan this year and if given a chance today will go for the X1 again!!!!

Actually the rivalry was between two German Giants - BMW (X1) & Audi (Q3). But the Volvo cleverly Placed XC40 as a 🍒 on the cake. Concerning the Cars in the video, it's so confusing to compare these two,, Germans are so technologically brilliant and then Volvo pops up like a ginie to mark its presence in conveying the technology in such a modern and refreshing manner. My vote will go for the Volvo XC40.
Xc 40 could've been the perfect car if not for it's cramped back seat. I dont why they compromised back seat comfort for bootspace. Hope they make it better in a facelift

Haven't driven the x1, but took a test drive in xc 40 couple of weeks back, the radar system is absolutely awesome even in our road condition, works like a gem
I would buy the volvo just for its radar system, its that good.
I am 6, 1 in height but didn't find the rear seat that uncomfortable with respect to headroom, the only thing I didn't like about the car was that it lacks under thigh support at the rear for someone like me
But the driver seat is soo damn comfy. Rides well, very smooth n relaxed manner

Same opinion here, drove the X1 more like a hatch back no SUV feel, though the driving dynamics are bit better. XC 40 has better seats more SUV ish , ADAC, hk music system, better quality interiors, rear seats cramped for me (I’m 180 cm). So got the XC40 recently, total satisfaction
Excellent review. I just think the xc40 is more fun in terms of the packaging. Especially with the orange carpet and door treatment. It doesn't look like a scaled down, built to price xc90. The BMW, however, looks like a scaled down, built to price, x5 inside and out. Volvo is fun enough, too.

BMW X1 is outdated. XC40 is better. At least Volvo and Mercedes understand the importance of India as a market and launch their cars earlier than brands like BMW and Audi. Audi is so negligent that it's gonna launch the next generation A8 after 2 years of its initial global launch. BMW takes one full year to bring its latest generation to India. Volvo launches it's cars within one year of the global enveil.

The reason is the Rules of aerodynamics. Cars are designed following the these rules so it is possible that two designers of two different car manufacturing companies could be on the same page regarding design.

Used or new, X1s are considerably cheaper than XC40s on the road . Reviewers need to factor discount policies of brands when comparing on road prices. Volvo hardly discount their products when compared to BMW in India
BMW X1 gives a sedan like feel and SUV looks and far comfortable than volvo

I have the X1 and I have to accept that a lot of features are missing at this particular price point ( even my dzire gets apple car play and Android Auto😂).
But for enthusiasts,BMW is the one to go for❤
Yes but ita drivability cannot be compared to any other in this segment . Also now it has navigation and apple car play both .

Brand value of BMW cannot be matched by Volvo
Alturas G4 is way better and more value for money. This cars are just running by their brand name. They are good if you have got so much money to splash out.

Both the suvs are comfy . They have great seats and amazing driving dymamics . If you are buying cars worth 50 lakhs then you would definitely be caring about brand and features .
