Test drove the xc40, found it quite cramped at the back. Partly because of the all black interiors. The steering was too light and the plastics just didn't feel as plush as the bmw. The bmw 20i has a quicker acceleration than the 20d, and ik the analogue dials are a little outdated but they're such a great set of dials! I'm not ready for screens to take over everything.

BMW has Rear seat recline function , and I am very sure that x1 back seat space is definitely better than xc40 , please verify it once again
İ drived 2 of them and they have same space but X1 have bigger bagage.
This review is shitty, the x1 has a boot spacs of more than 500 L which they dont mention.
Pricing of all cars is just atrocious given the overall package. I wonder how these cars are surviving at that 45-50 lakhs price point (on-road)! :(
BMW entry level cars should be 25-30 lacs. but then its the government and ridiculous taxes increase the on-road price
@@spmacros You are right, the taxing just makes it 1.8x-2x the actual worth. Personally, I'd only consider the full size SUVs, A4/ 3 Series/ C-class / XE/ S60 and nothing in between it. Whaddya say peeps? :)
@@spmacros it’s more about the brand value , look at superb it comes with same Audi A4 190 hp engine , A6 like identical space and loads more features over Audi A4 still it costs 30-34 lakhs ex showroom and Audi A4 costs 44-48 lakhs ex showroom despite losing out on what superb has to offer , it’s all about brand name in luxury cars

The BMW especially the diesel will smoke off the other two in acceleration and driving dynamics. Plus it’s easily the most spacious and then it’s a BMW. No wonder it rules this segment.
Ya and I thought the xc 40 has a more upright rear seating.
Correction , Yeah the diesel BMW will easily smoke the popular India car like MARUTI and TATA but definitely not Volvo and Audi .

Should compare Q3 and not Q2. Q2 is different segment.
Q2 is the correct segment actually. Q3 is almost the size of GLC/X3 and that has been their main selling point for Audi.
But now Audi realised they can sell Q2 in the same price range as x1 and make q3 slightly more expensive

Current Q2 being CBU, hence more costly.
GLC, X3 and Q5 are in same segment.
New Q3 will launch in March and by that time Audi may start local assembly of Q2 which will bring price down.
New Q3 will be bigger & costly than older ones..nearly X3 & GLC.

What a stupid statement by the narrator at 2:47. He says that the dashboard is gr8 but doesn't "feel special" ? What sheer nonsense. Also, all these auto review magazines tend to have a bias for the newer models. "Quirky" is a term they use for over-the-top (and often strange, ugly) designs. What kind of a mature person would prefer the ugly XC40 over the X1 ? And can they focus a bit more on more practical issues like Fuel Efficiency, Service Costs etc. I have been reading their magazines since i was a 10 yr old kid. The quality of content has certainly drastically changes (and a bit dramatised) if not gone down.
