Thats quite a hot take. Im the biggest jaco nut out there but alain caron uses so much language and varying rhythms in his playing you cant just that say he's emotionless. Thats just ridiculous. Jaco often fell back on the same old lines, especially in faster tempos. And fair enough it always sounded good, but this doesnt even sound like jaco. He doesnt have copyrights to fretless basses lol. Its something he created to share with the world of music. He had an ego but im sure he wouldnt want other people to not make great music if they have the means to
2:29 that dinamyc gets me all the time, Alan
Piece of heart ! 〽
Consider yourself lucky if you got to see these guys play live. Master musicians!
Have seen them a few times. Use to drive to Montreal to catch them, always a blast.
At the Top of the World with the Bass, Don't forget Mr.Mark King of Level 42!
You know you are a fan, when you can tell the differences of the bass-solo compared to the studio version ;) - love it.
improvised solos are always different.
Cusson’s chording is astonishing - very Holdsworth. And while I’m a bassist through and through, Paul’s brush work is wonderful. All excellent.
One of my favorites. Alain killed it on that Fretless. 😌🎶👍🏾
Fretless bass jouée à la perfection, Caron Pastorius même plaisir à attendre.
I'm so into this tune.... absolutely love the bass... but ALL OF IT is good.
To my ears his neckthrough Fbasses sound sweeter than his bolt-on Fbasses. But they are all extraordinary ! What a great match
👍👍👍👍
When the guitar is the bass and the bass is the guitar
That'll happen when the band leader is the bassist i imagine
Alain caron is legend wonderfull tone sound feel fucking cool level
💖
Thanks for the video! What concert was that?
Suono devastante
Fretless or fretted, Alain is God anyway!
Le son Pastorius ? ;-)
Le son Alain Caron ! ;)
Alain Caron plays his F bass 6 fretless.
non le son Alain Caron, inimitable
sounds always out of tune ,not original ,a cold copy ,without emotion

Jack Bruce
