If your zero is 30yds it's rising at 30 until it reaches around 175 -200 then it starts to fall which is why you have to aim low. Zero it at 100 and you'll never have that problem otherwise you need to learn your holdover for a 30yd zero

8:29 Sound is louder because it’s reflecting off the tables surface and back/up towards you. I’m a sound engineer and this happens a lot when a speaker wearing a mic leans low towards their podium.

google ballistic calculator and play around with the zero distances. You will see dependent on how far you zero your gun for the bullet will actually hit above your dot at certain distances. Example if you zero your gun to be exactly on at 300 yards you will actually hit high at 100 yards.

Depends on your zero... bullets dont fly in a straight line. They fly in an arc. That arc depends on the specific caliber and bullet as well as the barrel. In that arc, there are multiple points where the bullet is at the same altitude; but at different distsnces (ex. 50yd zero, is point of aim at about 200yds with 55gr 556 or 223). Every other point in that arc and where the bullet hits depend on wether the bullet is climbing up in the arc or dropping down in the arc. For example, again with a 55gr 556 or 223, with a 25 yr zero, if you shoot at 100yds, the bullet will still be climbing, so you aim at the waist and hit in the upper chest area. If you aim at the knees, you will hit center mass... At about 300yds, its roughly at the same point of aim as you would hold at 25yds, because the bullet is then on the descending or dropping part of the arc... its different for every bullet and every gun; but there are consistencies that are known and graphed. You can look them up depending on what you wanna fire and then test them in the real world so you know where to hold at different distances depending on your initial zero... its not like a video game where you hold at the same point regardless of how far they are... now many are using a 36yd combat zero, because that allows for a consistent hold from 10 to 300yds and the spread is only about 5 inches, meaning you just aim center mass and you will hit consistently whether the target is 10 or as much as 300yds away... takes out the guess work.

You’re having to aim low because up until your zero distance (30 yards for you), your dot is above the trajectory of the bullet. After 30 yards the trajectory rises above the dot until gravity brings it back down again.

If you're using different ammo than you were when you were zeroing it in at 30 yards, then it would have different ballistics readings. But I don't think it would change that much bro. That shooting under the target got me scratching my head 🤨🤔 trying to figure it out

25 yard zero is 50 yard hit center mass, a 50 yard zero is 100 yard hit centermass, i always zero mine at 50 yard so i wont have this problem hitting a steel center mass at 100 yards easy.

Its the bullet trajectory, 7.62 lops and gravity brings it down, 7.62 isnt know as a flat round like the 556 or 545
The reason you had to aim low! You’re zero at 30 yards. If you drew a line from your optic and one from your barrel then will cross at 30 yards. Anything past that, your optic is aiming under the line your barrel makes. Try to zero at 50 yards for rifles. Hope that helps bro!
Not saying you don't pay attention to detail but most care about the looks of their firearm over the functionality and that could turn fatal if it doesn't work when it is needed. With that said I enjoy your videos and your collection.

Bro grab a ballistic calculator for your phone and put in your round data and zero. Itll show the rise and dip of the round at different ranges.
Take the buffer tube out of that then you won’t have that problem don’t let people mess with your guns unless if you know them
Picture a bullet flying through the air like a football. If you throw a football 100 yards at 50 yards it will be at the highest point and then start falling down from there until it gets to 100 yards. Everyone thinks that bullets fly flat but that is not the case.
