    there's no blood flash? how do you know you're definitely in the vein?

      I was hoping the creator would answer this question too. The few times I've used a straight needle system, the best I can say is that you feel the slight "release" of pressure, once you've punctured the vein and entered the lumen.

    Why are you closing the needle with your hand ????? That is not the proper way !

    • @dheanzelle
      @dheanzelle Před 6 měsíci +2

      It is a proper way. As long as you're safe and are cautious enough to do so, then it's acceptable and recommended according to my guide and instructors🤷🏻‍♀️

      This comment is confusing me so badly. Are you referring to the safety cap after the blood was taken? I'm confused.

      The safety cap is the proper way 😵‍💫

      @@AlexanderLastname-mo1mo correct me if I’m wrong but yes shes talking about the safety cap. She was stating not to close it with your hand because it can be risky and lead to yourself getting poked. The proper way that she was referring to might’ve been closing the safety cap on a hard surface without you touching near the needle. I’m sorry if that doesn’t make sense, I’m bad at explaining things.

      You close it with your thumb away from the patient, only certain needles you close with a surface instead of your thumb
