This game is right up Skoot's alley with how much he enjoys build experimentation. There's also a ton of mods to keep the game fresh after a long time. He seems to be having trouble sticking to a build and therefore bloating his deck tho, like taking the mine over the silver arrow at 20:45 just adds a ton of symbols that may or may not even be good. Skipping on recycling was pretty painful as well
Edit: He did actually clear up his board quite a bit with the geologist, so good job there
Keeping the dwarf over other stuff and skipping the Recycling is what hurt me the most x)
It's exciting to see you playing Luck Be a Landlord! I've had it for a while now, and there's a lot to learn just for the basics of the game/beating floor 1 consistently (and I can imagine people giving lots of advice that you will learn on your own lol). I can totally see you killing it after you've had more time to learn more of the symbols, I think it's up your alley for at least a playthrough.

In the early stages overloading the board won’t hurt you but you need to stick with a 1 synergy later on. Typically you want to stay around 20 symbols that way you roll them all every time.
Only in the tutorial phase, until you start with duds. Then, you'll want over 20 symbols to minimize the chance of duds on screen, thus increasing your average payout. Unless... there's something you really want to hit every spin, like coal.

The billionaire buffs cheese and wine and gives a ton of money when it's destroyed by the Robin Hood. That's so funny lol
It hurts every time when he skips on void symbols, and that beastmaster skip hurt too with the amount of wolfes he had.
I know to take them now, Im learning lol
Learning and making mistakes is a huge part of the game. I really enjoy seeing you discover the synergies in the game, and figuring out what works well, and when you should or shouldn't take certain symbols. Watching you learn the intricacies of the game is honestly the most fun to me. I enjoy seeing you learn the game.

Was it fine that he didnt pick recycling plant? Ive only watched other people play but thats gotta be the best item in the game no? 10 extra rerolls every rare shop is insane for building synergies.

Ive never played this game but watched NL play a few times, am I just bad at the game or was not picking up the recycling plant absolutely insane? I’ve never even seen it before, that’s gotta be one of the best items in the game no? like 5+ rerolls on every rare shop is WILD

Kyle the kermit did give some nice temporary money,but recycling simply gives you a much higher chance of finding good symbols for your run

I don’t understand all of the hate in the comments on your symbol choice, you literally won with run with 1000 coins to spare. Some people man 🙄
it’s a mix of:
- he’s still in the early stages where winning is basically free
- when you’re good at a strategy game it hurts to see people make “bad” decisions, even if it pays off. Just look at NL’s SAP comments. Honestly sometimes winning can make it more frustrating
- Skoottie’s whole thing is playing roguelikes and strategy games like this “optimally”
- Ultimately it’s all in good fun. We all know he’ll improve but watching the growing pains is a roller coaster of emotions which is exciting. We wouldn’t be watching it if we ultimately didn’t enjoy it though :~)
I think most arent meant to be mean either way, definitely tough with strategy games where there are definite misplays though, less frustrating watching fps players and just saying ‘aim better’ but its all in good fun :) the positives outweigh any negatives
