do you have to use converter when you are using just gas? I was a little confused watching that part. If im not hooked to electric, and using just gas, do I have to use converter?

Do you have lithium? If so no. You need to turn the water pump on, but that does not require the inverter. I suspect same with AGM batteries, but not 100% sure.
