- Academic CV is an important component of the application checklist for graduate school, postdoctoral fellow, and faculty positions.
In my last video, I highlighted 8 common mistakes you need to avoid in your academic CV.
While I agree that there is no one way of writing an academic CV, however, there are basic sections expected in your academic CV.

My question is, who exactly is this for? I see for "graduate school" "post doctoral fellow" and " faculty positions" Please help me understand the differences.

Not all. With all the resources on my Twitter pinned posts, CZcams and Website, you do not have to pay anyone for such.
So those references should be different from the ones to write you letters of recommendations ?

Good day sir. I'm just coming from the webinar on drafting CV, I couldn't get the opportunity to ask my question. After following the guidelines given here, my CV is currently 6 pages, 5 excluding references. My question is how can I compress this to a 2 paged CV, or at most 3 pages. This is important for me in order to submit an application. Thank you

Hello Doc, thank you for the insightful words. Please I want to know if it is compulsory to have other research experience asides my Msc and Under grad Research I carried out during my thesis? Also I don't have a teaching experience that was done at the University level. Can I still apply? even though I have over 7 years work experience that best aligns with my research topics.
