Or maybe he has other unattractive qualities that gentleness can not make up for. Or maybe he is habitually drawn to ppl who have a history of trauma & find gentleness foreign & uncomfortable. Whatever it is, if he had actual compassion, empathy, & emotional intelligence, he would ask or self reflect deeper to see the valid reasons for the reactions he's receiving, instead if running with this "Im too gentle" victim narrative.
