Why does the customer expect collecting laptop after 1 year.
The shop closed and the customer had a hard time getting his laptop back. He finally got it after one year.

ACOnetwork I have an iPad that couldn't charge sent it for repair they fixed it then the touchscreen didn't work all the parts are there
@@clairewee5379 if touch did not work when you got ipad back, they might have blown the touch filter when they did not disconnect battery before screen. This I saw in few of Northbridgefix videos. It may be something else, it should be checked.

Spend 3 days working with a laptop. Not only it, but, it stayed in my bench, testing, diagnosing, reparing.
Ended in the same situation it came in. I don't regret it. I had already given up on him, but wanted to continue for experience. But it made me lose a lot of time
I never used to take visual inspection seriously.
But now helps me get the job done quickly

Yea. Would be cool if Alex had a chassis for mbp 2014 lying around, I doubt it but probably he has to go back to the previous shop and hope they have his Mbp without the board.
Happy face. When told it is 1 year newer than his board. Then sad and angry face when told it isn't compatible.

Great video as always.
But really surprised they changed the whole motherboard. Looks like the other repair shop kept the laptop open for many months, and when the customer kept asking for his laptop, they just assembled the laptop in a hurry.
I suspect neither the housing or board even belong to the customer. Like you said, they probably just threw together parts and gave it back to their customer.
I'M glad you put that out there right off the bat.{ I see signs of previous repair ATTEMPTS}BUT i''ll take a look at it.FAIR enough,and very honest.Sometimes crooked customers bring items in for you to repair that MAY have been broken,then when they come to pick it up because you call and say it can't be repaired ,THEY BLAME YOU for a botched job,and make a huge stink about it ,hoping you buckle under and give them a new one or something free,just to get rid of them.After a while in business you learn to spot them right off the bat.LIKE Nancy Regan once said"JUST SAY NO" haha

I can’t believe the other shop would give a completely different body/screen.
Most likely because they knew they can't fix it and they had it stripped of components that worked and given a body that doesn't. I mean 1 year in the shop i suspect it was already a donor board by the missing caps and resistors and the body of course.
I rather think the body is original but the logic board not…:-)))

Wow 😳 the previous repair shop replaced the the entire casing of the laptop. Glad that he bring his laptop to NORTHRIDGEFIX repair shop, and notice that he got the wrong case
