  • I hope this gives you all some psyche to perhaps climb this boulder one day. Or gets you psyched on your own projects. How good is rock climbing!!!
    This is my beta break down and little journey I went on to climb one of the best bits of rock in the world! It was a properly incredible moment to finally climb this boulder, one I wont ever forget.

    Yep done the foot beta lots. I learnt from the fact that using a smaller foothold that actually gives u a better body position quite often is easier than using a bigger foothold that's more awkward or harder. Just requires good body tension to ram that foot hard into the smaller foothold, which is a good skill to have in your bag

      Yep, better position is almost always better than better foothold

    If you’ve been climbing for any length of time I think you know that feeling you describe when using Nori’s footer. When the new beta makes it all just ‘click’ into place. Such a great feeling!

    I definitely enjoy these videos that go into the story and process rather than just a vid of the send with no context.

    I really really love your videos. They are very peaceful and they give a sort-of graceful perspective of bouldering. I've only been climbing for about 8-9 months and climb V8-9, but this sport truly feels special to me in a way I cannot convey. I love how you convey your similar perspective of the sport and it's mystically. Thanks and please keep up the work!

      You are so strong to reach that level with just 8-9 months. About the same for me, but I am only a V4 climber. Any tips for me?

      @@raymondfoo9045 Unfortunately I don't even know... I climb religiously, like 5+ days a week and I just can't get enough. I love to project and focus a ton of energy into bouldering. I'm pretty young at 18, and just take all the time I want for bouldering. It's an obsession that I make a priority. Best tip I think I can give is to believe in yourself and get psyched!

    I’m just confused on how climbers get down from boulders like that, even if there is a easy down climb side

    • @TomOHalloranAus
      @TomOHalloranAus  Před 2 lety +1

      This is definitely a trickier one to get off compared to others. Many you can find an easy down climb or even walk off the back. On this, you down climb the mantle slab thing and jump off. Or down climb a 10m high easy section of climb (sketchy)
