V-Glass is developing affordable vacuum insulating glass, a flat and transparent thermos bottle for windows. Only V-Glass uses a flexible aluminum seal cold-welded directly to glass for an elegant, minimalist design, just ¼” thick. Nearly invisible metal whiskers preserve the tiny gap between panes. These innovations will enable the production of an R-10 window, twice the whole-window efficiency of triple pane for 1/3 less manufacturing cost. V-Glass vacuum glass will be affordable without government subsidies. Successful commercialization will position the U.S. at the forefront in a global market totaling more than $40 billion per year.
