    I change my prior comment the police could have saved 4 lives if they had listened to Charles when he told them that he Lori threatened to murder him. Lori should have been arrested for making threats, but the police didn't believe Charles.

    I can't hardly stand listening to the defense lawyer. Can't stand his way of condescending speaking

    Remember that Tylee said that she had the bat as protection when she stayed at Alex's. The officer interviewing her failed to follow up about why she needed protection from Alex. Poor girl was scared and she was let down by the officer.

    The fact that they showed the emails and texts between chad and lori talking about the money and then had the social security specialist testifying was smart. Though it was "only about lori" it showed chad was scheming as well about the money that would be coming in.

    The detective from the Chandler Police department who did not arrest Alex after he murdered Charles should have been fired. They could have saved 3 lives but instead they were incompetent, lazy, and they refused to do their jobs.

      @@MaggieMay757 It really is sickening and it makes my blood boil that none of the detectives or cops who refused to arrest Alex even though they had probable cause will ever be held accountable.

      Yeah, there's no question these cops dropped the ball... Though something is a bit troubling about that particular part of the case, if my memory serves me correct, didn't Tylee lie on behalf of her mother? Didn't she provide a statement that Charles showed up in a rage and grabbed a bat from her?
      If this is the case, then that shows how manipulative Lori and Alex were because Tylee was strong-willed.

      I feel like they so strongly felt "everyone has the right to protect themselves" that they chose to believe that these were good people who were just protecting themselves. Like they wanted it to be true so they believed it.
      I don't feel like they investigated it further. To be fair, even if they thought it was messed up, it was still three witnesses versus one who couldn't speak... But if they had taken it seriously they could have at least scared Lori and Alex enough that they didn't think they could get away with anything and continue to commit more murders.

    • @RachelDoesntknow
      @RachelDoesntknow Před měsícem +2

      In short? Even if they didn't think they had enough evidence, if the police take every single case seriously, that sends a message to the public they can't get away with murder easily because it is taken seriously 100% of the time. They have a responsibility to do so

    • @TheRecoveringLiberal74
      @TheRecoveringLiberal74 Před měsícem

      Homicide simple is a definition meaning killed by another human being. It’s not always a criminal act. You could accidentally kill somebody because they walked in front of your car on a busy highway and it would be homicide because it was death caused by another but it wouldn’t be criminal since it was ruled accidental.

    This detective does NOT want to get into semantics when it comes to beliefs in the lds church. There is so much taught and told to you in the church that isnt in the book but is an unspoken rule, and vice versa. He is gonna have a tough time picking apart the LDS detective when he has no idea that teachings of the book of Mormon can vary a bit. As an ex-Mormon its funny listening to how off they can be.

    Even if in chads head he does blame Lori … and he really thinks it’s only her fault … he didn’t have to go along with any of it … he made up the weird rating system and he didn’t prevent Alex from hurting the children or his wife. He can blame Lori / but it then looks ridiculous and chump-ey to remain married to her. Please reiterate to the jury… they are STILL MARRIED. Still in cahoots

      Chad is clearly a moron, but he knows exactly what he did. It’s not as tho he actually believed the BS he spews. He was tired of being a mediocre loser and found a way to make himself feel important by preying on other misfits who also wanted to feel special. He wasn’t even creative enough to come up with his own crap. He used Julie Rowe’s claim to fame and watched the movie Frailty for his zombie ‘inspiration’.
