I was taken from my grandparents and put into a foster home, then into a boarding school. All my tearful screaming as my heart tore into pieces went unheard. Hearing the fate of these children taken by the enemy, how horrible.

Russia literally allows Ukrainian parents to come to Russia via Belarus to identify and pick up their children. This was reported in detail last year yet DW news is making it seem like Children from warzones sent to boarding schools in Russia could have been brought back to Ukraine without Russia allowing it.

Just Thank You, DW. We live on such a tiny planet, and we're all going through a paradigm shift. Some people would turn us backwards. Channels like yours show us just how small Terra really is.
There are wonderful therapies right now to help with trauma. I’m going through EMDR or Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing or Trauma Therapy right now. I’m so grateful. It’s still difficult, but it’s a relief.

So the director wanted to take the kids and do what? Cross the front line? She obviously did not even have the means to drive them away before the front moved, and the evacuation wasn’t coming. How was she going to basically even feed them, house them and keep them safe? And this NGO director bulks children who fled to Russia with their families with situation like this?
That Russia has not established a channel to attempt to return these children to someone in Ukraine, although in cases like this kids are wards of State their families either passed on or abandoned them, still a formal channel to attempt to return should have been established. When occupation authorities take over, whose wards are these children then? Indoctrinating into Russian, fast adoptions, etc. all is wrong too. But these stories have a lot of plot holes in them, I read them all the time. The headline is “Russia kidnapped 19,000 children. It’s genocide” below the headline “They weren’t evacuated and the adults in charge of them wanted to take the kids and cross active front line.” “Some of them left with their families” “Some of them are Russian speaking” “Some of them do not want to return to Ukraine” “The parent sent them to summer camp while under occupation. Did not want to alert authorities when Ukrainian army returned because of criminal change of collaboration would be hanging over the parent’s head” 🤷🏻♀️ I am just saying make it make sense clearly.

This issue of children being taken from Ukraine to Russia is a lot more complex than DW allows us to know. Many of these children were Russian. Ukraine has 8 million ethnic Russians mainly in the East. Many of these children are orphans. Yes they are being indoctrinated in Russia but I must correct this miss representation. They are being re-indoctrinated since they were indoctrinated by Ukraine school system where Russian language was not allowed. In cities like Melitopol, Cherson, Mariupol, Berdiansk etc., these are all cities where ethnic Russian live. Don't try to present this as a crime. It is a necessity due to war conditions. ICC is not credible due to their double standard. BTW, so why are the Russians allowing the return of some children?
Why do people like you not accept that Ukraine is a country, the borders were agreed when the USSR split up. The russian language wasn't banned, the children were taught the language of their country i.e Ukraine. There are many Ukrainians who speak russian too. In that situation you cannot demand the right to be another nationality, you can only leave to be with 'your people' or accept the country you are now living in. Ukraine went back to being the country it once was, the children were on Ukrainian soil.

Well if you listen carefully to this story, according to the NGO director some left with their families. And according to the boy, some do not want to return to Ukraine. We should see the real number at some point of stories like this boy and not other stories counted as the same.
@@bojanm986 Should be records for kids who were under the care of the Ukrainian state. These are orphans and kids from group homes, albeit there was some mental gymnastics when they used the term boarding school lol. Ukraine is poorly run but I think even they can pull together such things.
They are free to leave if a relative makes the request -- the rest of the story is fabricated to the point of being ridiculous.
