What a day! We landing out in front of a beautiful old colonial mansion where a wharf once was. The coins and relics that we found were incredibly old and in excellent condition! Mark cut in front of me and dug the coin of the day. It's 300 years old exactly and looks like it was lost yesterday. Mark brought Steaks for lunch (DELICIOUS!) It was a great day on the water except for the crazy amount of jellyfish we couldn't get way from and the biting flies.

Nice hunt! Hey Kurt, the thing at 1632 you thought was a doorknob was at one time a wax matrix letter seal. You may want to retrieve it from the scrap bin.

I learned from Digger Dawn, that if you don't really know what something is, ask others that may know don't just throw it in the rubbish bin. You may have a treasure. I must give credit, where due, however, because like Kurt, I didn't know.
My detector partner, my older brother Brian, told me to tell Kurt.
I believe Kurt, that makes you the winner, over Muck this time, for the best find. At least you got something, for all the jelly fish stings.

I think the item that you found at the 16:31 mark might be a wax seal. I'm not sure but it looks a lot like one.

That piece at 16:36 looks like a chess piece to me. They used to make some pretty ornate ones back then. Great finds, saving history one jelly fish sting at a time. Have a great one and eat your lunch

Great job on the treasures especially the 1723! Always enjoy! Hate the jellies , I always wear garden gloves and a light weight, long sleeve Polyester shirt or a 2mm neoprene top. Stops jellies and those crazy biting flies, which camp out on the sifter, on those offshore windy days.

When you get out of the water a little powdered meat tenderizer sprinkled on the jellyfish stings will stop the burn
How in the world were you able to go in that water with all those jellyfish? My grandfather lived in Edgemere and my cousin got one on him and that stung like crazy. I can’t imagine that many and being in the water with them. You are a true diehard metal detectorist! Good save on that 300 year old coin!

@16:00 The button is a 2 piece over here in England we regularly find that type except 95% of the time we find either the top or the bottom. 😀.

Well at least you were the first ever to find a washer spill and in the water.
If you cut the feet out of legging stocking and pull them over your arms it'll stop the jellyfish stings if it's too hot for a wetsuit or a long sleeve shirt and it's not restrictive to use. The green flies don't seem to like them either

You can get sleeves made out of the same material as the face buffs for fishing, Really helps when it comes to those type of jellyfish. Like they wouldn't stop a Portuguese man o war Or a box jelly but when it comes to those little moon jelly's it pretty much does the trick. Pluss you can just slide them off when you get out of the water and not have to deal with a long sleeve shirts if you don't want to.
Juat found ur channel been watching much as I can I'm a Maryland guy to eastern shore I have a uncle with some property that has been in our family since 1845 the original house from back then is still there and liveable.
